From Phoenix, AZ. I am an experienced AIRBNB host.
Brad and Erika have a great place that certainly lives up to any hotel's standards. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to spend there since we were only passing through but wouldn't hesitate to book their room again
Drove up from LA after work on a Friday to see a Spring Training game. Got out SO much later than I had originally planned, but Brad and Erika could not have been more cool about it. I felt horrible, but when we finally arrived at 3am, Brad greeted us warmly and took us in. It was a VERY short stay, but it's a great house in a great neighborhood, and Brad & Erika were wonderful people. Highly recommend!
I went to Phoenix on a scouting trip for a new film project and thought getting a place near the airport, while convenient, was a bit of a waste. I liked that Brad and Erika's place was out on the edge, tucked into the foot of the mountains, and figured that'd be a more interesting option.
My experience confirmed my theory. I had to drive through the center of Phoenix, so I got a feel for it, and being out in Buckeye made me much happier.
Brad and Erika are a smart, enterprising young couple with a beautiful home, and an impressive talent at hosting. Even though I was their first Airbnb guest, I couldn't have asked for a better stay.
The guest room was clean and perfectly appointed, with everything I needed including my own full bathroom down the hall. It was quiet and private.
The hosts were also interesting conversationalists, which made hanging out in the common areas extra enjoyable. It was nice coming "home" at night and exchanging stories instead of slogging off alone to some square hotel bed closet.
