Great location just a quick Uber from everything downtown. Host was quick in responses and ensured the property was ready for our arrival.
Would definitely recommend!
Fun part of town with outdoor bars and food trucks within walking distance! Fantastic rooftop with great views to boot. Clean, nice rooms and solid, open common area. Had a group of 10 girls, and we were comfortable space-wise. Had no "traffic" problems when we were all showering/getting ready to go out.
The house is beautiful and it is a great location. I think in another scenario it could have been a great stay. The house lacked the fundamental things that we needed to make it work.
6 Adults and a baby. We where there as a work group for SXSW + 1 wife and baby. We worked 100+ hours that week building a tent and then managing it. We needed comfort, space and washing machine capabilities.
The house had'nt been cleared out to fit it's guests. Closets and draws where full. Master bedroom had 1 draw - 1x2 foot to accommodate the clothes for a week for 2 adults. The small bedrooms and Bathrooms alike. Called in with the request to have more space created, but no one from the service agency arrived to remove.
All week the washing machine didn't work. With us building/manning a SXSW a tent for 16hrs x 6days and having a baby in the house it was an extremely inconvenience not to be able to wash our clothes. This was called out upon arrival and never fixed.
Sheets missing for 2/5 beds when we where going to bed, people ended up sleeping in their dirty clothes on the couches. Sheets arrived the next day.
Heater problems in the bedrooms. Baby's room was freezing. Even though it was called out as fixed, it never worked.
When you are there for work these are fundamental things you need. What could have comfortable stay, became unbearable. I actually ended up leaving early to move to friends house where I could wash my clothes. If want to charge $8000 a week, these are things that need to be functioning. You cant just rent out your home and not think that it is'nt work for you as a landlord. Your personal things need to be removed, your machines need to work. Unfortunately we would have been better off at a hotel and it would have been cheaper.
The house is beautiful and it is a great location. If they just address the above I'm sure any future stay will be great.
Everything was great and very easy to figure out. We had no problems whatsoever and it slept 9 comfortably.
House is a cool space in a developing part of Austin. Able to walk to many of the places one would want to walk to if interested.
Sleeps 10 in the way your college dorm would sleep 4. 3 beds, including 2 double beds and one queen. The other beds are a futon and an inflatable bed. Comfortably sleeps people in the 3 bedrooms but the additional beds aren't much. Rooftop would be awesome space if given a little attention but is essentially just an open space. Felt very much like we were in someone's house, housesitting, not in a rental house.
This place is the epitome of a chill house. The way that the sound system can be hooked up to your phone, the rooftop view, and how each room has its own vibe really brings about the whole experience. If you want to go to 6th street, its a quick 12 minute ride by taking Uber. Uber cars were always readily available in this area. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend it as it has everything you need.
House was amazing. Location was great. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
We had 7 guys in town for a bachelor party. The house is gorgeous and well maintained. All of the appliances and technology are new, and easy to use. We spent the majority of our time on the rooftop deck, which has beautiful views and plenty of space; also, it's equipped with speakers to add to the experience.
The neighborhood is being developed. We felt safe, but spent most of our time downtown. Taxis are tough to catch, so I suggest using Uber or Lyft; both were new to the area and so so easy to use.
We had a great experience, and the house was perfect for us.
Still new to AirBnB, I had questioned what it would be like to have a large group staying somewhere and I have to say Christian's place takes the cake for being accommodating with plenty of outdoor space, comfortable sleeping options, and adequate bathroom space. The experience was great! The listing was what we expected and more. And the east side of Austin is an awesome neighborhood for it's culture, bars/restaurants and short walk to downtown. Thanks so much for having us!
House was in a great location still close to down town but far enough away to have privacy. The house was filed with entertainment pieces from the view on the roof down to the interesting decor. We loved every inch. We even got to use the grill
Super cool guy! Really easy to coordinate with and left things super clean. Would host again!
I enjoyed hosting this guest. Very responsible, pleasant guest.
