Had a great stay, 0 complaints, whenever I texted with any question received a response within 15 minutes. 100% would recommend and stay again, great building also.
katya was very welcoming and she support us a lot .
home was clean ;parking lot was near ; internet we slow but when we move router to be placed on window of the small room it work perfectly .
The reservation was canceled 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Communication with the host was great. Unfortunately, the unit was left in rough shape by the previous occupant, and it was not fully cleaned in time. The furnishings were reflective of the listing. The complex was in a good location, and quiet. I did not get to use the pool due to weather. There are a lot of personal items in the unit of the owner, which was not listed in the listing. This is more on the side of staying in someones home with them just being out of town, than as a listing where the unit is just setup for use to be rented out.
Our latest stay was great to Tampa; especially with this apartment. The communication to reserve and book this apartment was easy and simple. The complex with courtyards and pool was a pleasant surprise. The apartment worked great for our group with enough beds and 2 full bathrooms. The best part is the location - you must take the easy walk to International Plaza for awesome bars and restaurants.
Great trip and thanks
The location was convenient, nice pool area and gardens. Lots of inside parking.Surprisingly quiet since the place was near the airport. Good space for a family of 4.
The needs for improvement:
This was our least favorable BnB experience. We have had 3 previous rentals and have been very pleased.
When we arrived, we were told in a text to look for a brown door to enter the building, all the doors were GREY ( we discovered later that the doors were brown from the INSIDE of the building , not from the OUTSIDE)so we circled the garage searching for the door, we finally found a maintenance person, who assisted us with locating Marina. This seemed to upset Marina. She was very short with us . I did not find her to be as friendly as rated by other guests or as we experienced from our previous hosts.
The apartment was not clean . According to Marina, the previous guests left late. We took our time to get there and checked back to see when it would be convenient to arrive. Still... Floors were sticky. Bathtub not really cleaned. Also, when we arrived the laundry from the previous group was still in both the washer and dryer, left for us to remove. There was old food left in the fridge, dishes in the dishwasher and garbage in the waste can. I really didn't expect to have to clean, especially since the rental includes a cleaning fee!
My adult Son and I stayed here while attending a Spring Training Yankees baseball game. The place was comfortable and the Host wonderful. Although never met her she was available and stayed in touch throughout the whole process. Location is fantastic. 30 minutes to Clear Water Beach and very close to the Ball Park and airport. I would stay here again. Maybe next year for another Yankees Spring Training. Only negative... Internet was very slow so working on my last day there was impossible due to extreme slowness. That can't be the owners fault. So no Real negatives.
For this listing, Katya was the primary contact, but both ladies were very gracious, helpful, and a breeze to communicate with. I felt bad, because I kept having to switch up my arrival time, but Katya was very flexible and accommodating and made sure that we were able to arrange a time to meet up so that she could give me the keys and a tour of the apartment.
The description in the ad is very accurate and she even had some bottled water available for us.
The apartment itself is in an excellent location, and the fact that there is a garage for parking is a huge plus. It's on the first level and just down the hall from the pool and hot tub. Man, that hot tub was most definitely utilized after the Spartan Race my friends and I did over the weekend.
As stated in the listing, there is a Smart TV with cable, which was a very pleasant bonus. WiFi was very fast and reliable throughout the apartment, and the ladies had fresh linens ready for use.
After we healed up from the race and took a nap, Katya was easily accessible via text, and I was able to get some tips on where to check out the Tampa nightlife. Like I said, she's very easy to communicate with.
I will most likely hit up Marina and Katya the next time I'm down in Tampa again, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!
Nice apartment in a good location.
Stayed here for the month of December 2013 with a friend. I was pleased, I enjoyed it by and large, and I would certainly recommend it.
The pros: Very nice complex, on the whole. Clean and safe and modern. The surrounding area was decent as well. While a car would be perfect, without one, you can still get to the essential places quite easily. 15 min walk to: 24hr mini-mart, Whole Foods, Target, Walmart, Wine / Beer store, etc.
The apartment itself was quite nice too. Sparsely furnished, but just fine.
And lastly, the host, Katya, was very nice and accommodating. She lives in the complex, so she was readily available if and when any questions came up. Thanks, Katya.
The cons: just a few, none that serious, especially for those staying short-term. For instance, the wireless internet was kinda spotty. Weak signal that would cut in and out. Also, there wasn't cable, as advertised. Again, for longer-term stays this could prove to be a bummer. For I like watching the news, the weather, and sports, almost exclusively. To remedy the situation, I ended buying an inexpensive antenna from Best-Buy and was able to pick up a dozen or so channels (abc, nbc, fox) which helped a bit.
The only other minor thing, which is no reflection on the host, was that the pool area (while nice and rarely occupied) was set in the center of the building complex, surrounded tightly by apartment units. This meant that the sun would only hit the water and the deck area for short measures at a time; no direct all-encompassing rays. In other words, if you didn't hit the pool by such and such a time, you were left sitting in the shade. Or moving seats every half-hour. Again, no biggie, I just think it was a design flaw on the builder-architect?
Anyhow, that's my thoughts. Best of luck to Katya. And thanks to airbnb. Very nice first experience. Plan on using them again for future travels.
