Isabel's mother, Marie, superbly manages the apartment for her and both she and her husband, Pierre, do a superb job. Their communications by email, telephone and in person are brilliant and just what you need when planning or enjoying a holiday in Paris. From the meet and greet, to giving advice on where to eat, visit or drink they give you as much help and advice as you want and are always available for advice especially in an emergency.
The problem of my broken tooth and lost filling on the first couple of days into my holiday was sorted out by Pierre that same day - even quicker than my own dentist in Edinburgh would have managed. He arranged the dental appointment and gave instructions how to get there and checked up on progress - a superb host and one to be appreciated if something goes wrong when you are far away from home.
The apartment is wonderful equipped & a fantastic location near to the Pantheon, Luxembourg gardens and at the heart of the Latin Quarter - the lift is a great advantage over most apartments and it saves a 5 floor climb.
For a luxury holiday in a Parisian home superbly hosted by Marie and Pierre you will have a dream holiday. If anything goes wrong they will sort it (just as they did for a previous couple when the Air France strike cancelled their return flight to America - Marie and Pierre put them up in their own home until the rescheduled flight occurred) - just marvellous hosts.
From our initial contact with Marie (Isabel's Mom who handles the apartment) to our first breathtaking view of the apartment, to help securing a taxi for our departure, this was a great experience! Marie (and Pierre!) are charming, friendly, informative hosts who make you feel like old family friends. The apartment is bright and beautiful, in an amazing location (close to Rue Muffetard which became our favorite haunt!) an easy walk to Notre Dame and the Seine and many great restaurants, patisseries and boulangeries. The kitchen is well supplied for fixing meals from your shop at the market, and sitting on the balcony, sipping rose at sunset or coffee in the morning, makes you feel so Parisian!
We spent a month in this beautiful apartment and it felt like home. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood is terrific, especially the patisserie on the square behind the building but all of the shops and restaurants were great to have nearby. We walked all over the city. How amazing is it to be able to walk to Notre Dame and Shakespeare & Co. in 15 minutes, or to the RER in 5? The hosts are impeccable. They will do anything you need but are otherwise inobtrusive. We loved, loved, loved living here. Thank you so much for everything, Marie Francoise and Pierre!
We had an excellent experience with this owner and property. The property is as advertised and more. It is lovely, well-located, and supplied with all essential needs and comforts. Marie is a genuine and thoughtful hostess providing several nice touches, e.g., fresh flowers, macarons, bottled water on the nightstand, and useful information about the apartment, neighborhood, and Paris. The neighborhood location was perfect and provided convenient transportation options for getting around the city including walking. We want to come back and soon!
This was an outstanding place to stay in a great neighborhood. The apartment is extremely spacious with a very comfortable living room, dining room and full kitchen with coffee, espresso pods, teas and other items in the pantry. One bedroom had a king-size bed and the other had twin beds. There were 3 full bathrooms and a washer/dryer. The apartment is attractively decorated and has a personal feel with hers family's furniture, collections, and a large library of French books. Marie has provided guidebooks and has put together booklets with suggestions and maps showing neighborhood restaurants and stores. Marie was here when we arrived and showed us how things work in the apartment. A bottle of champagne, Perrier and a large plate of macaroons were a special welcome. Marie was available by phone whenever we had a question. Her English is perfect. We definitely will return here. Linda, David, and Risa
We stayed in Isabel's apartment during this Easter break. First of all, the photos are a true review of its conditions. All the good things other people reviewed are true and I don't want to repeat them.
Marie not only responding emails very efficiently during the booking. She gave me a lot of useful info for booking Eiffel Tower etc and places of interests before we arrived. And she is also very helpful during our stay.
On our arrival we are greeted by Marie in person with flowers and champagne, and our flight is early in the morning! The flat is very well equipped with everything like you find in your home. For example, she prepared tissue boxes, take away tissues, umbrellas, washing powder, detergent etc.
At the end, she even helped out to book a taxi for us to airport. Although i don't need to ask her much while I'm there, I feel the security and warmth because she keeps in touch and ready to help out.
Thank you Marie, you really made our trip to Paris a memorable one, in your pretty Parisian apartment.
An outstanding residence. We would highly recommend.
We rented this apartment for one week this spring, along with another couple. The apartment looked very attractive and comfortable on the web site, but it was even nicer than we had expected. The location is excellent. The decor is tasteful and the apartment is spacious. The kitchen was particularly well stocked, both with cooking equipment and with stock items (sugar, cooking oil, vinegar, salt, etc.) We could not have been more pleased and would certainly rent it again were we to return to Paris.
We had a wonderful holiday in Paris, thanks in large part to being able to stay in Isabel's beautiful apartment. The apartment is spacious, elegant and has every comfort of home. The airy bedrooms and three bathrooms (with showers) allowed everyone to have their privacy. The apartment is wonderfully situated, a walkable distance to just about every quartier you would want to visit. The immediate neighbourhood has a very nice boulangerie (on St. Jacques) and a great coffee shop just around the corner (Cafe de la Nouvelle Marie). Marie, Isabel's mother, is a delightful and attentive (but not intrusive) hostess who was so generous in helping us with directions and even getting us a reservation at a restaurant at short notice, that we would probably not have been able to acheive ourselves. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and would definitely love to stay here again.
We had a fantastic vacation in Paris and Marie and Isabel's apartment was a huge part of that! Marie (Isabel's mom) was amazing! Any questions we had or help we needed making reservations, finding a shoe repair shop, etc…Marie was 100% reliable. She is such a pleasure to talk to and communicate with. She really made us feel right as home in the apartment. Everything is as described. The furniture is comfortable, the towels are soft, the washing machine is a helpful amenity. She even brought over a Nespresso machine with plenty of 'pods' when I told her how much I love that coffee.
Marie got us reservations at one of the best restaurants in Paris, same day! She helped us with recommendations of what was currently going on in Paris and how to get there. She was really like our personal concierge. We were sad to leave Paris! What amazing memories we have! Even the champagne, 'macarons' and long-stem roses for my birthday made me feel so special. We were a little unsure of what to expect when staying in someone else's home, but this experience was far better than any expectations! Merci Marie!
