We're an American journalist and consultant living in Hong Kong. We love Hong Kong and are happy to provide you with some suggestions of what to do while you're here.
We had a wonderful stay at Marco and Andrews apartment, thank you so much for making our stay so welcoming and comfortable.
Thr apartment is well located with spectacular views. The mtr is a 2 min walk and so are the double decker trams in Johnson Street. Central is sn easy walk too.
Buses are out the front in Queen St East.
6, 6A, 6X go to Stanley, the 6X also goes to Ocean Park.
15 takes you to the Peak
66 to Repulse Bay
There are aso 5S and 10
We can heartily recommend the steamed savory buns in Stone Nullah Lane between the entrance to building 3 and Johnson St.
Taste supermarket is not far in Queen St East, on your LHS towards Central. It has cooked food at street level and an ATM, also an extensive supermarket downstairs
The historic Blue House is opposite the main entrance to the Zenith in Stone Nullsh Lane, I think the Zenith buildings were built over part of this Lane, hence the split in the Lane.
The pool at the Zenith is great, it opens for the warmer months only, and is open for 3 sessions of 2 hours duration daily.
There is a market in the streets near the entrance to building 3 and an enclosed market beside and underneath the market. There is a small childrens playground just around the corner, as well as the basketball courts in Queens Rd.
It is an easy walk to see the light show at 8 pm at the Wanchai expo promenade. The zoo and gardens are easilly accessed too.
We had an awesome time in Wanchai, so much exploring to do on foot in the area. We hope others will enjoy the stay at Marco and Andrews as much as we did.
This is my second overall experience in using airbnb as an alternative to a hotel stay. I can say that Andrew and Marco's place did not disappoint. Their building is conveniently located between Central and Causeway Bay with the MTR station (A3 exit) being only a 3 minute walk away.
The apartment is clean, well organized and full of natural light. The wi-fi connection is fast and the cable TV has a couple of HD movie channels. There are plenty of nearby places to eat, but then again - this is Hong Kong. In case you want to pick up some groceries, there is a basement level supermarket in between the apartment building and the MTR exit.
Thank you both again for allowing me a guest at your home!
