My husband and I are nearing retirement age (late 50s). We travel for weekend getaways several times per year. We usually book through Expedia and are Elite Members. We've begun to hear such nice things about airbnb that we decided to give it a try.
Sunshine, laughter, and biscuits & gravy for either breakfast or dinner take me straight to my happy place.
I own a small consulting company specializing in home health medicine. My husband works for an energy/utility company as an account manager for large multi site companies.
5 things I can't live without: My husband, a good book, iPhone, ponytail holder and coffee.
We love Cabo and I have travel there almost every year. The most interesting place I traveled to was Egypt. I lived in Italy for 3 years many, many moons ago.
You're going to love hosting us. We are social but independent. You won't need to babysit us. The last couple homes we bought were bought/built especially to accommodate us hosting friends and family. We enjoy the company of others.
Our style of travel is usually quite casual. When choosing a place to stay, location is key. We don't mind driving but like to be able to walk or cycle to near by coffee shop, stores, beach, etc.
I DO have a life motto. It's also my tagline on my(website hidden)page. "You never touch people so lightly that you don't leave a mark". I believe that we all matter and your actions and words have power. You actions, your words, your interchange with those around you have energy. Be aware and be kind.
Oh.. and one more thing. we have the cutest, funniest, brightest grandson ever. He is almost 4.
