Alice and Jane provide a cozy, safe and serene place to stay. Not only are the accomodations clean, the view from the windows into the yard and garden beautiful but the thoughtfulness with which they furnish their place is extraordinary. It is 10 minutes from Sea-Tac, so convenient and easy and yet a world away. Seahurst Park is down the hill.......a great walk through the forest to the Puget Sound. I have nothing but great things to say about this place =-)
Alice and her BnB are AWESOME! I couldn't recommend a place or hosts more highly. The space is beautiful, so is the view, and there is such care that Alice and Jane take in both the property and their guests. It's a very tranquil, meditative and healing sanctuary - hard to find in the Seattle area. Enjoy!
I met Alice in 2004 and stayed in the Seahurst Garden Studio for four months while working on a novel. It is a peaceful nest with plenty of room for one or two people, large windows looking out onto a lush garden with a koi pond, hot tub, covered patio, and Kwan Yin standing by giving her blessing. There are two cats and a sweet dog upstairs with Alice, and they stay upstairs. There is a waterfront park in walking distance - but the road is on a hillside, so be ready to exercise!
Alice is all heart with a wit and brain to match. I recommend her as a hostess for her integrity and attention to the details of gracious living. Namaste!
Alice Goodman is one of the owners of Seahurst Garden Studio, along with Jane Martin. Searhurst is truly an amazing place. The gardens are beautiful and tranquil. Each morning, we sit in the dining area with an amazing window view of the gardens, enjoying our breakfast and watching an incredible array of birds visiting the feeders. The studio is great: quite comfy and modern - with all the amenities you might need - including free Wi-Fi. The hosts, Alice and Jane, are kind, wonderful, and friendly women who go out of their way to be either a great resource - or, if you prefer, invisible. You are in your own private haven!
