** I am the person in the middle of the photo with short brown hair**
I once had a friend say to me... "Caroll, you have lived more lives in your short life span than most people live in their entire lifetime."
The truth is, I love life and I try to pack everything I possibly can into it. I am genuinely interested in almost everything. I also LOVE people!!
I was fortunate enough to have been given a chance to travel the world and study with some of the most amazing professors and communities in Tanzania, India, New Zealand, and Mexico. My friends now make fun of me and call me a "professional guest."
Currently, I am working and living with teenagers in a boarding school on 130 acres of the most beautiful land in Burlington Vermont. I think they are amazing individuals whom I love sharing my experiences of life with. I get to take trips with them and play tons of games with them.
Not only do I have a passion for youth but also for social justice and environmental issues. I volunteer much of my time with individuals who have substance abuse and dependency issues. It is not easy work but it is by far one of the greatest gifts of my life to watch and witness people/families rebuild their lives together. I also have an interest in small scale agriculture and trying to put the things I learned from my farm life experience into practice.
All in al,l the motto I live life by is, "be present" (it is not coincidental that this is another word for gift)
