I am an historian and university professor, originally from Baltimore, MD. I've lived in NYC, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and in San José, Costa Rica. I've visited almost 40 countries and I consider myself a global citizen and someone who values and respects cultural difference. While my research takes me to Latin America regularly, I also enjoy traveling the continent of Africa. So far, I've been to Ghana, Senegal, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Egypt. I'm a quiet houseguest (I'm always working on my research and writing), courteous, neat, and will respect your home.
