We had a perfect 2 week stay at Paul's apartment. From the get go, communication with him was easy, friendly and prompt. The place was perfect for my wife and me - it's stylish but has a warm, homey feel - nice art, lots of great books, properly equipped kitchen and very comfortable. Wonderful light and a view of Mt Hood. And the neighborhood is perfect for a short stay. Thanks, Paul! Look forward to coming back.
We (a married retired couple) stayed at this property for two months. The host was very gracious in allowing us to check in a bit early to support our schedule. While there were some minor maintenance issues to be dealt with during our lengthy stay, she always contacted us ahead of time to make sure our privacy would be respected. This large house really worked well for us as we had some family visiting during the holidays, and the location was perfect. We recommend this property and would be happy to stay here again.
Overall a great experience. The host was so accommodating in meeting me at the house, giving me the tour, showing me the quirks of an older house. Extremely convenient (1-2 blocks) from historic main street with awesome shops and restaurants! Subway and Starbucks and a great mexican restaurant just 2 blocks away. Walgreens and hardware store another block. Wells Fargo bank a few more blocks. Safe and very quiet neighborhood.
" Minor negative: the blankets were short and made for winter so I baked underneath the comforter blanket and my feet sometimes stuck out. Having some normal blankets available would go a long way to making for a more comfortable night's sleep. "
Was able to get a taxi ride from PDX to the house for $40 (price agreed upon in advance with the airport taxi van driver).
Love the neighborhood, so charming, quiet, safe, and so convenient!
Fantastic host! Great unit, great location and building
Fantastic, immaculate apartment in a great location in Portland. Close to all the Pearl District has to offer. Easy walking distance to Whole Foods, 24 Hour Fitness, Rite Aid, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Loved the option of having a cleaner come in before we arrived as well as the parking option within the building. The apartment itself is well laid out including a fully stocked kitchen (including blender, coffee maker, toaster, cutlery, pots & pans). Spacious bathroom. Lovely art and books adorn the apartment. We made coffee every morning and made breakfast most mornings. We were a party of three - one couple plus a friend. Our friend graciously offered to sleep on the (provided) futon mattress on the floor of the living room. Paul's Guide to Portland was well thought out and included all the details needed to enjoy Portland. Instructions regarding procedures for use of the apartment, parking, departure, etc. were easy to follow. Would highly recommend!
What can I say that hasn't already been said? It's a great place in a perfect location. If you're only exploring Portland, you probably won't need a car. You don't even have to venture far from the building if you want good dining choices. By train, it's an easy walk from Union Station.
We stayed 10 days at Paul's place in The Gregory and it was great. The location could not be better and the unit is very large and comfortable, although perhaps could do with a bit more overhead lighting.
Thanks for a great stay, we didn't want to leave!
Great location, very clean and the host with the most!
We had a great time in Portland, and staying in Paul's comfortable loft apartment was an added bonus. Lovely building, very solid feel and conveniently located in the Pearl district, with Powell's bookstore, Deschutes Brewery and World Foods supermaket all within a 5 minute walk. Dealings with Paul were prompt and hassle free, and we would certainly consider staying here again, if available next year.
Paul's place is the perfect place to stay in Portland. Beautifully furnished, centrally located in the Pearl District, convenient to public transportation and an absolutely beautiful view of the Portland skyline and Mt. Hood.
A nice laid back couple who took care of my house very well. I truly enjoyed meeting them.
Paul & Heather was the perfect guest, very pleasant and friendly. They left the apartment very clean. It was a great pleasure to welcome her in our flat. We are looking forward to welcoming her again!
i have not met this guy and i feel that he is a friend! he treated my place with utter respect. perfect guest to me and paul, you can come back anytime. one regret only: not having been able to meet you to have a beer and a chat. maybe next time? take care man
Paul was delightful and friendly guests. He rocked! he left the apartment very clean. I highly recommend him to the airbnb community. He's welcome anytime! He's Great. What more can I say.
Fantastic place. Incredible location, amenities and services. Like a boutique hotel that feels like home in walking distance to the best of Portland. I have stayed there and look forward to the next time. The Gregory is one of Portland's top end buildings and this place has one of the best views of the city and Mt. Hood.
This place is gorgeous! Walking distance to all the hot spots downtown, it has a beautiful view and a comfortable ambiance, as well as feeling modern and hip.
This location couldn't be better. Everything you want for the quintessential Portland experience is within walking distance of this apartment. AND, it's ultra-chic to boot!
