A very nice apartment in a nice area. Very convenient to the subway and the park. I'm not a city person, but it is about as serene as one can get in the midst of millions of people, quiet and lots of nice wood, e.g. floors, and molding. Owner is attentive and available. I enjoyed my stay.
Arriving (unforgivably late) to homemade cookies, a warm welcome (including forgiveness), and a tour of a gorgeous, elegant brownstone apartment that the listing photos don’t do justice. Waking to birdsong, sunshine streaming through skylights, and fresh, delicious bagels fetched from nearby Terrace Bagel. Coming home from our Manhattan revels to a peaceful oasis with plenty of space, leafy views, and a comfy bed. Visiting (too briefly) with our charming hostess, and taking her advice on neighborhood highlights: Cute shops and cafés! Miles and miles of Brooklyn brownstones! Breathtaking Prospect Park! Easy access to the F train downtown!
All this and more defined our experience at Dianne’s place. We arrived as guests, but left as friends. What more could you want from a B and B stay?
It was wonderful to get a taste of Brooklyn by staying at Dianne's lovely brownstone apartment! Dianne was completely welcoming and hospitable and made sure our visit was as comfortable as it could possibly be. She is incredibly thorough explaining all the nuances of her home which allowed us to be at ease. Her home is charming and neat and it was a pleasure to stay somewhere so quiet and neighborhoody. What a great experience. Thank you, Dianne!
We could not have imagined a nicer experience than the stay we had at Dianne's beautiful apartment in Park Slope. She was a fantastic and generous host and couldn't have been more helpful (even going as far as to bake us home-made biscotti to greet us on our arrival!).
The apartment itself is bright, airy and stylish. It is an upstairs apartment in a lovely brownstone and feels extremely spacious for a one-bed. Dianne had left coffee and all the essentials (she even left some beers in the fridge!). At night the area is quiet and we slept great as a result. Park Slope was the perfect base to explore Brooklyn from and a thoroughly enjoyable experience with tons of bars and restaurants (not to mention wonderful bagels from Terrace Bagel, just up the street). Prospect Park is a stone's throw away and great for a jog or a stroll.
All in all, the experience was excellent. We've visited New York around six times in the last few years and always stayed in Manhattan. After this experience (and thanks in no small part to our gracious host), we feel like Brooklyn might be our new home from home when visiting the city.
Thanks again Dianne for a great stay.

Dianne was a wonderful host for our weekend stay at her apartment! Before we even arrived, she showed strong interest in getting to know us, and then she went out of her way to make her apartment especially welcoming for our stay even though she was out of town during that time. More than a host, she made herself a friend to us, and we're excited to go back to hang out for a coffee date.
The apartment itself was more than we could have imagined; beautiful, quiet, well-equipped, cute, homey, with tasteful furnishings and art. The neighborhood is right on the southern edge of our favorite part of Brooklyn, Park Slope. There's an endless variety of cafes, restaurants and bakeries (among many other attractions) in easy walking distance, and Prospect Park is literally less than one minute from her doorstep! It's an ideal spot for a romantic weekend for two in Brooklyn.
Meeting Dianne was a delight. She's welcome back anytime.
