Fabulous place, fabulous view and fabulous hospitality. Lizzie and Sebastion couldn't have made us more welcome or been more helpful - like staying with old friends. The house is a 2 minute walk from the square, passing a superb restaurant on the way to the bar where an excellent lunch can be enjoyed.
We thoroughly recommend this listing.

What a find! A perfect setting for a weekend (or longer) away. Lizzie and Sebastian are brilliant hosts - friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They made us feel at home from the second we arrived. And then there is the view... I would never get bored of waking up to the view over the valley and up into the mountains. The b n b is perfectly located for wandering around the village of Montauroux, driving up into the mountains, or visiting the coast. I will definitely be recommending to friends and hopefully returning soon myself!
Thank you so much for your great hospitality! That was a wonderful and bright moment - a visit to such great family and house. The whole neighborhood is lovely, quite and very friendly. This one day was like a week All the best!
This was a magical place. The view from the guests bed and bath rooms is incredible. Our hosts were extremely gracious. We arrived in the dark (something I would not recommend) and had difficulty finding the house. We called from a public parking lot and Sebastian quickly came and led us to the house. We were offered wine and a late night snack. The next day Lizzie and Sebastian assisted us with directions, showed us around the village and even introduced us to some of their friends as we strolled through Montauroux
Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and served on a balcony (on of many) overlooking the lucious gardens, hills and a nearby ancient village. One could easily imagine that they had stepped back in time 400 or more years. We were also asked what time we would like our breakfast to be ready for us each day rather than have to be ready for breakfast. Such a nice luxury!
The villages itself is magnificent. It is a well preserved medieval town nestled in the hills of Provence. Although we were there in August, the traditional French holiday, the village was not crowed with people or congested with traffic.
All in all we feel that this was the perfect place for us.
A very sweet and welcoming couple. We were charmed by their friendliness, flexability and good taste. A comfortable and clean room in a historical house with a breath taking view. Such a lovely home with a lot of charm. We wished we could have stayed longer ! We will definitely be back !
Montauroux is a wonderful, lively village, and Lizzie and Sebastian created the most beautiful parish house into a wonderful and hospitable home. Sebastian's art is very beautiful. The atmosphere of the house is friendly, the hosts are wonderful people.
The panorama from the house, looking to Callian, looking over the valley end the hills of the Esterel in the north is impressive and changing every hour.
We were welcomed with a warm reception, we had a wonderful brakfast evry morning on one of the veranda's. The room was spacious, beautifullu furnished and decorated and very clean. Lizzie and Seastian advised us on good restaurants, nice places to see and , of urse, on the wonderful museums and galleries on the cote dázur.
We can recommend their B&B to everybody who wants to be in the beautiful landscape of teh Esterel, a little off the beaten track from the shore near Frejus.
If you appreciate genuine hospitality, like to talk with very nice and interested hosts, have an interest in art, and like a real french village, that is not inhebted by holliday home owners but where life still goes on, this is te place to go to. When we visit the region again we will most certainly again book a few nights in "le prieuré"
From the first moment on I got into a state of relaxation. Lizzie and her husband have created such a nice place with a wonderful calming, inspiring and optimistic atmosphere! I had marvelous views out of the bathing room, my room and while having a very rich breakfast on the porch. Very much enjoyable have been our talks about rock-concerts, art, books and quests ...Provided with information about the environment - a guitar festival had been going on each night in places like the little Dior-Chapel only a minute away- I had all the options: Stay and talk, experience the environment (St. Cassien -lake - nice swimming) or use Wifi in the TV-room. I very highly recommend Lizzie's place!
