I'm a US undergraduate student studying biology. I fluently speak English and German. I am learning Japanese and Korean.
I love to read, write, cook, design clothing, and listen to music from around the world (with Korean Pop (K-Pop) being one of my favorite genres at the moment). I have an avid interest in other cultures, history, and the sciences. I also like to try cooking dishes from other countries. So far I've mastered several tasty bento recipies and am practicing making some Korean and Chinese dishes as well. I also can cook many American, Italian, and German foods. ^_^
I've been traveling since i was a baby, as I'm half German and my mother's family resides in Bavaria. I usually travel light and well-packed. I still have trouble sleeping on planes though and often sleep until morning whenever I land, regardless of the time I arrive. Which means I don't have much jet lag. Yay! I'm also a very independent traveler, so I am very aware of what is going on around me and try my best to plan everything ahead of time.
Whenever I'm in another country, I like to see historical sites a lot and learn the stories about them. On the other side, I also like to see some of the night-life with friends. I'm very level-headed when it comes to drinking or to dangerous situations though.
I always try my best to be respectful and to watch my actions around others. I can often be very shy but I can also be very social around people once I get to know them.
My previous travels include going to Germany and Greece. This summer I will be going to S. Korea for a summer study abroad program. I can't wait to experience a taste of life in Korea. And maybe 뚝볶이 ? ^.^
