First thing: I though I was renting to a person name Virginia, turns out it was to a corporation named Trivao BCN. It's always a little less personal when you deal with a corporation. I prefer more personalized relationship with real owners and that's why I'm using Air'b'n B. It felt strange to get a 4th flour apartment when it said on my receipt I had rent the 5th flour... They probably owned the whole building! Second thing, the apartment: Overall it was ok. It wasn't exactly like on the picture, it was probably the 5th flour pictures I had seen... The location was great but it was very noisy. The Diagonal is like a non-stop highway and the windows were not really soundproof. The air conditioning was working great and the property was ok too. The router was very noisy too but I managed to stuff it with a towel to stop the annoying beep. The beds were uncomfortable but we found some big blankets and put them on top of the beds. Then we didn't feel the springs and had some good night sleep. This apartment is more suitable for french students who goes for a week-end in Barcelona than for a family of five travellers who spends a week there. There was no accommodations of any sort like olive oil, our salt or ketchup (things that does not past away). We had to drink our wine in water glasses... That's what you get when you deal with corporations... a list of rules of do's and dont's... and nothing more than what you paid for. ( wich was a little too much in my opinion.) I'd say we had a very average appreciation of this appartment.
My family really enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Barcelona. The apartment was true to the photos on air B&B. It was neat and clean. My family appreciated two bathrooms and air-conditioning in all bedrooms in the common room.
The location of this apartment in Barcelona is good. It is five minutes walk to three metro stations. These metro stations are on the same line as the major tourist attractions. There were many shops and restaurants just outside the apartment building.
Check in was smooth and maintenance was performed quickly when needed.
There were a few minor negatives about the apartment. In one bedroom that faces the main street there was a lot of traffic noise coming from the closed window. In another bedroom that faced East the bedroom doors had frosted glass that did not have a curtain, therefore, the sunlight came in early in the morning. Lastly, the stairwell of the building was dingy and did not fit with the nice, clean appearance of the apartment.
Overall my family enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this apartment and Virginia.
The studio was exactly as described and looked like in the pictures. It is well situated and the neighbourhood is charming and quiet. There are many shops around and also many bars and restaurants where we ate well within 15 minutes. The metro L4 near the studio was convenient, we could go to the beach without any change. We were also glad to have an air conditioner. It was indispensable because of the heat.
We would recommend that studio, it is good value for money and Gracia is a charming place.
We arrived in Spain eagerd to find the apartment. We looked out for the address using the google map. Unfortunately it turns out that it has two streets with the same name. The difference is that one is in the center and one outside the city. We searched hopelessly for the apartment until we called Virginia who sounded unable to help us find our way, no itinerary was sent to help her guests. We finaly found someone who could help us. Once there, we are greeted by Jacky,it was planned that Virginia would welcome us or at least that's what we thought. Jacky shows us apprtement but we must leave to come back at 2pm as planned (then 11:30 more or less) so she could clean it. We returned at 2:15pm, she shyly opens the floor is still wet and she is still cleaning the bathrooms. We had to wait 15 minutes more, exhausted, sitting on a chair because after 3 hours jacky failed to fully clean the apartment and doesn’t answering the phone while suposedly cleaning. After she left, we noted with surprise that it was not a duplex as claimed but a one floor apparement. On certains standards, if I paid for a duplex, please give me one. However, the place was beautiful, clean and very bright. Some details called out questions, there was nothing in the fridge, the least thing for me is to put one or two small bottle of water. In the bathroom, there are no bath mats, and as a shower gel, a nice bottle of cheap economic shower gel, I know we're not in a hotel but the details make the quality , especially since it was already used by the former costumers, no tissues, no small tea bags, there was absolutely nothing. Fortunately, the rest was really good. During the stay, we met jacky who did not even deign to answer our salutation, not even by a polite smile, which is not much. We left without having seen Virginia. We will not choose this appartement again.
The host canceled this reservation 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Nice stay in Barcelona during Sonar, the apartment was exactly the same as the picture. We were 6 persons, but 8 could be good with 2 persons on the sofa. We like the pleasant living room next to the kitchen with microwave and fridge and we slept well in the 3 rooms with comfortable beds. there is 2 bathrooms, and nice air conditioning. We took breakfast on the small balcony.
The district El Raval is well situated, near the rambla, with a lot of new restaurant, we found really good places next to the apartment (supermercato, breakfast, tapas, tabac...)
The only negative point is the number of keys we have, two. A little bit complicated for a group during Sonar.
My two best friends and I stayed here for 4 nights and had a lovely stay. The place was very clean and modern, and spacious. The location was a bit out if the tourist zone which was our plan. It's by Joanic metro station that takes you right down to the beach. Lots of fantastic little local restaurants and bars nearby, would recommend to people who are looking to avoid the tourists. We had a great time! Highly recommend!
Tres bel appartement, comfortable, propre et climatisé. Localisation idéale dans une zone calme et en même temps très proche du centre historique, avec magasins et restaurents à proximité. Je le recommenderais sans hésiter.
Very nice apartment, just like in the pictures. The bed is so comfortable. :) The metro near is a plus.
Virginia's flat in Barcelona is in a brilliant location, with Gaudi's Sagrada Famiglia practically in the living room. There is a balcony that faces it. The apartment itself is immaculately clean, newly renovated, with many comforts of home. Alfonso was very professional, checked us in, and made sure our stay was enjoyable. The flat is a wonderful base to explore all over Barcelona, one of the most extraordinary cities in the world! I would absolutely stay here again.
