This apartment wins for nicest AirBandB apartment for our entire trip to Italy, and Andrea and Alice are wonderful and charming hosts!
They met us at the apartment (accommodating our need for an earlier check-in time) and showed/told us everything we needed to know about staying there, from how to use the washing machine to where to get the best gelati and aperitivi. They even tried to connect our son to a playmate his age in the apartment downstairs, and were available via text when we were having a hard time finding a certain bar. They were helpful to the end, even booking us an early morning cab to the airport.
The apartment is beautiful - it looks even better in person than the pictures, with gorgeous light. It's fully equipped for a longer stay- though we didn't do much cooking, we would've had everything we needed. The apartments have a lovely courtyard, and it's so, so quiet-- a quiet that's hard to find in Rome. The bedroom has aircon, which is great, but the apartment stays pretty cool without it.
There are shelves of Rome guides and resources for your perusal, and Andrea and Alice have even put together a detailed map of attractions and restaurant suggestions with good routes from the apartment.
Speaking of which, this place is in a fantastic location in Trastevere- walking distance to everything, but off the beaten path enough to get a good night's sleep.
We loved this place, and will most certainly stay here the next time we are in Rome. Fingers crossed that it will be soon!
What a lovely time we had in Trastevere! Alice and Andrea's home was absolutely perfect for our vacation in Rome. Andrea was such a gracious host - he even met us outside the day we arrived, and led us directly to the apartment. Once inside, he gave us tips on shopping and restaurants, and brewed us a lovely cup of Italian coffee. He made us feel very welcome, and was available if we needed help.
The apartment was spacious, beautifully decorated, very clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect - in walking distance of all the sights. There were also local markets very close by with excellent produce. We took a stroll in Trastavere each evening and soaked in the authentic Roman atmosphere.
We highly recommend this lovely home! Thank you, Alice and Andrea, for such a wonderful experience!

Andrea and Alice went out of their way to make us feel at home. They met us at the apartment, helped us bring our car to a safe parking garage, and gave us wonderful suggestions for restaurants and attractions in the area. The apartment was a perfect location for exploring all the major sights - which we did in a whirlwind 3 days! The apartment was very clean and had all we needed for our stay.
Andrea responded to all of our questions and inquiries quickly and thoroughly. Alice even met us at the Vatican and generously provided tickets for our visit! We would stay at this apartment again. The hosts definitely care very much about the happiness and comfort of their guests. We hope to visit Rome again soon! Thank you so much!
Andrea greeted my parents, boyfriend and I upon arrival. He showed us everything around the house, how to break down the bed in the room, run the dishwasher, and where we could find the towels for the house. It was a typical walk-through, but what made the introduction above and beyond was Andrea's eagerness to help us with our adventure in Rome. "What would you like to do? Where would you like to go? Let me know if you need anything." Andrea was great.
The house is exactly what it looks like in the photos. The beds are queen sized and firm; I personally really like firm so I slept like a baby. The fridge was actually larger than average for most places in Rome, which was great for us family of 4.
The neighborhood is not sketchy or isolated at all. We all felt very safe, even coming in at 3 am from celebrating the new year. There are always people walking around because there are a ton of markets, cafes and restaurants on either side of the house. My parents are a bit older so we really took advantage of the restaurants directly around us, and they were all fantastic!
The best part about the neighborhood was its close proximity TO EVERYTHING. We walked from the house to the Vatican City (~6 mins), to Piazza Navona (~10 mins), Piazza Venezia (~20 mins) and Coliseum (~5 mins from Piazza Venezia). IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! Also, let me tell you the bus system in Rome is absolutely terrible. The bus lines run whenever they want, they may or may not drop you off where they say, it's a hot mess. I would say put on your walking shoes and just venture on foot.
Oh yeah! Before we left we contacted Andrea about booking a taxi for us to venture back to the airport and he arranged the entire thing. He called for a cab and text us the confirmation number. We were ripped off coming from the airport, but then paid the standard airport rate (30 Euros) going back.
Thanks Andrea! Wish we could have met the Mrs!
Great location. It's just a 5 minute walk to all the bars and restaurants in the happening Trastevere area of Rome but far enough to avoid the sound of partying as you sleep. The flat itself is set within a traditional complex of residential villas/apartments so it's nice and quiet plus you get to feel like a local during your stay. The apartment was the perfect size for my boyfriend and I and was very clean. There's air conditioning which would be a godsend in the hot summer months but we didn't need it in October. It was nice to have use of a safe although we didn't really feel we needed it. The kitchen seems well equipped with everything you'd need to prepare a meal but we only had breakfast in the apartment.
Andrea was an excellent host. Communication was easy and prompt. He even managed to organise tickets for the Vatican museum (which is within walking distance). He's a star!
This is the perfect place to stay if you are going to visit Rome, and need a great place to stay. We were three girls on a school trip, we stayed for 10 days, and it was perfect for us.
There is one large, comfortable bedroom and a big sleeping couch in the living room. The bathroom is great, a lot of light and hot water in the shower :-)
The kitchen was super, well stocked with the basics, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Big fridge and freezer.
The place is clean, close to the main road, but there was no traffic sounds out side the window.
The host, Andrea, gave us a worm welcome, and was very kind. He gave us recommendations for places to go, restaurants, how to get from the airport, etc. We had some problems using the hairdryer and some light bulbs that stopped working, so we sent Andrea a text, and he came to fix it right away.
The area is perfect, Trastevere is the most beautiful place in Rome, not considering the amazing tourist attractions, with lots of bars and restaurants.
Definitely a place I would visit again. I'd gladly recommend it!
This was a very nice apartment, with all the necessary items for a comfortable stay. Our hosts were very accommodating and very helpful in pointing what to see and where to go. The apartment is on one end of Trastevere, but bus#125, down the block, takes you to all the rest of it. And bus (phone number hidden), a short distance from the apartment, takes you to most of the best of Rome. The Tiber River is a short walk, as is Vatican City. What more can one ask for.
