Originally from North Norfolk I grew up in the countryside. I've lived in London on and off for most of my life.
I live with my boyfriend, Ben, in Hackney.
We had a very pleasant stay at Ben and Laura's flat.
A Fun, chilled and relaxing place to stay. Never met the hosts, but Laura's friend took good care of us. Recommended!
My partner and I absolutely adored Ben and Laura's beautiful Hackney loft. They were very helpful and reliable hosts, easy to communicate with. The apartment itself is clean, cosy and well decorated - just as described. Gorgeous location close to lots of cute bars and cafés and easily accessible via public transport from the city. Had a wonderful time, highly recommended and would definitely stay there again!
It was very nice and peaceful at the shoe factory, I recommend staying here
Great place to stay. Room was small but a really nice bed and a lovely living area, just like in the pictures. I would recommend - thanks!
What an amazing place to stay in London!
We loved very much being here: nice loft, beautiful area and a very warm welcome by the very lovely host Polly.
Hope we'll come again soon!
Never met Ben but Laura was a delightful host. Cracking accommodation in a superb location. Thanks again
What a wonderful home to stay to dive into London's buzzy and vibrant East End! Ben& Lauras very amazing shoe fabric loft is the perfect place to start a London exploration with a delicious coffee in one of the many cafés just around the corner and to return and relax after a long day in the spacious and comfy kitchen. Although we never met Laura in person everything was perfectly arranged by her very sweet friend Polly and we feel very lucky to have discovered this beautiful spot. We will come back soon!
We had a wonderful stay at Ben & Laura's place when we were in london for a long weekend to go to a friend's wedding. Even though we never met Ben & Laura themselves, they had arranged for a friend to take care of te keys and all the other things that we needed. The apartment has a really relaxed atmosphere to it, just what we needed in this great but tiring weekend in London. Other than that, the facilities and the location are great for enjoying your time in London to the max!
We stayed at Ben & Laura's flat for one week. We arrived late in the evening after flying into nearby London City airport. After the 20 minute cab ride a friend of Laura's was waiting to give us the keys and show us the apartment. The apartment is great, 2 double bedrooms downstairs, with bathroom and laundry room, and a huge double bedroom upstairs with bathroom. The kitchen is light and seemed well equipped, although we late out most nights in nearby Broadway Market, or the city.
The heating system worked well, although there are a lot of old windows in the apartment, and the washing machine and dryer were also useful.
Transport into London was mainly by bus from the end of the street to Liverpool Street station / Shoreditch high street where the Central tube line goes to Oxford street in the center of London in about 20 minutes. Some days we used one of the 2 minicab companies on Mare street to drive us down to Commercial Street.
The Commercial Street / Brick Lane / Spitafield Market area is a lot of fun with many shops, vintage cloth markets (Brick Lane) and a lot of places to eat and drink. The curry houses on Brick Lane and Nude Expresso are worth a visit!
Ben and Laura were great hosts, nice and very reliable. I would host them again any time.
Laura and Ben rented my apartment during Berlinale. Kindness, communication, cleanliness - everything was perfect. I would be happy to welcome them again!
lived in laura's flat for over three years now and couldn't think of a nicer place to stay.
The flat is in a light and spacious warehouse with a lot of character. Laura is a great person to life with and always happy to help out where help is needed. Can only recommend that place especially with laura as host.
I've lived next door to Laura for three years - we share a door to the fire escape and roof. She saves my plants from dying and passed soup through the door when I didn't have a kitchen. Laura has made her home a beautiful and friendly place to be. She is a wonderful neighbour and would make an amazing host.
