Our stay what everything we hoped and more. Very nice cabin, well decorated and our host answered all of our questions almost immediately.
Pam's place was fantastic. It made for the perfect Valentine's weekend get away with my girlfriend. I would definitely stay here again.
Boulder Zen Retreat worked out well for our multi-generation family. The upstairs bedroom with the office around a wall was perfect for our daughter, son-in-law, and grandbaby, almost like a suite for them. Backyard and patio were nice for hanging out and playing games. I would recommend any prospective renter ask for and read the rental agreement before finalizing a booking for the house.
My husband and I spent a much needed break at this awesome vacation house. Our favorite experiences included day trips to Rocky Mountain National Park and fishing in the lake.
What a beautiful getaway nestled in the Rocky Mountains! The home was wonderfully appointed, as well as being very clean. We invited our daughter and family to share....since we partook of the Rocky Mtn. Folk Festival in Lyons. Our grandson had a marvelous time on our walks, seeing the ducks and many chipmunks, along with the hummingbirds coming to our deck.
Pam was helpful in offering choices to visit or eat. She was accessible when we had any questions.
Strongly suggest when renting a car, choose a Subaru, or a 4 x 4, in case of bad weather.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage in the mountains. Neither of us had phone service (Verizon nor AT&T), but we did have an internet connection & that worked fine. A cute neighborhood dog, Pablo, came by each morning to greet us. The sound of the river at night lulled us to sleep. There was a note that advised us on the shortage of hot water (not uncommon in the mountains), but we never experienced a problem with that. No problems at all - just a relaxing visit to the Hummingbird Cottage!
We had a wonderful time. The Lake Chalet is as described. It is in a remote location 3 miles off the main rad and then another couple miles on dirt road. However it is a wonderful place to stay. We had an incredible experience in the RMNP and we spent two days with Backbone Adventures quad riding on Storm Mountain, this was AWESOME. The house is very nice with a full kitchen. Thanks Pam. The only reason I did not give five stars is the drive from town but that is exactly what some people are looking for!

We had high hopes for our stay at Lady of the Lake Chalet, but we were deeply disappointed. Our primary complaint comes down to one thing: bad customer service. When we arrived to front gate of the house, I realized that we did not have the gate code so I called the Pam's office. I was very rudely informed that we were two hours early and that we had not signed any paperwork and would need to make our way back into the city to sign it. I was a little put off by the attitude, but accepted that I made a mistake by showing up early and misreading the check in time so I let it go. No big deal. As far as the paperwork, we received an email a week prior to print, scan and email the paperwork with signatures, something we could not do because we were traveling when the documents were sent and had no access to a printer. I notified them of this and received no response, so I assumed everything was okay. I had never been required to do this for all other airbnb stays.
After driving into the city, we could not find the location of the property management office and called several times for about an hour to get more instructions. No answer. Finally found the place, signed the paperwork and we were on our way.
We checked into the house on a 98 degree day and there were no fans or A/C in the house. We couldn't even stay at the house during the day because it was so hot! Additionally, the internet did not work. There was also no cell phone reception in the area (or within 15 miles of the area) which was expected. So we stayed there for half the day calling Pam's office over and over again to see if she could help us with the AC or reimburse us for buying some box fans and help us with the internet. After 4 hours, there was still zero response so we left to go into town to find some A/C at a winery. She finally left a vm & emailed us later that evening and we found her email to be very unapologetic and dismissive of our problems.
We were most excited about our stay here at the cabin, which left this part of our trip the most disappointing. For those of you thinking of renting this house, do not do so in the middle of summer because there are no fans and a/c to make it bearable during the day. Also expect to be ignored if you have an issue and don't expect good customer service. If you stay here during cooler weather and have zero problems with the house and have no need for customer service, I would imagine it could be a peaceful place to stay. The house itself is creative and welcoming.
Our stay at Lady of the Lake was great. If your goal is to relax, enjoy nature, and stay in a unique lake house, then this is the perfect getaway. It's a great location to be close enough to Estes Park and the Rocky Mountains, as well as the quaint little town of Lyons. Pam was very responsive to me emails, both before our arrival and during our entire stay. The wireless internet, while slow at times (works best during morning hours) was adequate enough for email communication. The third floor bathroom location may be difficult for those who have problems climbing stairs. Also the lake is about 30 yards down the hillside, so that may be a problem too if walking up/ downhill is strenuous for you. None of these were issues for us. One of our highlights was hanging out/eating in the covered deck. There were always hummingbirds coming to the feeder. Because you are above the lake, there are tremendous views all around. For those of you staying for at least a few days, the fridge and kitchen is usually stocked with the basics. We stopped at a grocery store before our arrival, and came to find out that we bought stuff that was already in the fridge. If you need a regular grocery store, there is a Safeway located in Estes Park, and smaller market in Lyons, both not far away. I would definitely stay here again.
