Fantastic location - the condo is the best of both worlds, at the bottom of 4 o'clock, 1 block from gondola, and in town! Can't wait for next year!
Mark's place was perfect for our 5 person ski trip. The condo is located a block from main street and walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go. Each morning we got pastries or sandwiches from a bakery 1 block way. For dinner, great restaurants are minutes away on foot. A 5 minute bus ride takes you right to a base ticket office and major lifts at Breckenridge resort, and the 4 o'clock run lets you ski right back home. The condo itself is well maintained and the staff are courteous. Mark's 1 bedroom unit is clean and has a full set of appliances. We slept 5 people easily on the bed and pull outs: chair, ottoman, and couch all make into beds. The pull-out pieces are the most comfortable I've ever used. Mark was a gracious and helpful host, always available by phone or text.
Mark does not live in the area but was very easy to contact and responded quickly. The condo is in a GREAT location just a 1/2 block from Main Street and across the road from the 4 o'clock run making it feel like a ski-in shuttle-out property. Check-in was easy even though you have to stop at a separate office away from the property to pick up keys and parking pass. We appreciated the heated, garage parking with easy elevator acces to the unit. The unit was as pictured and was well stocked with the exception of hangers -only 4 in the closet. The kitchen is ADA compliant, but I'm short so the low counters did not bother me. The furniture was a mix of old and new and all pretty comfy.
The staff at the front desk was always friendly and welcoming. We did use the hot tub, steam room, and the sauna, but had to turn them on to get them heated. We loved having washer and dryer right in the unit.
We really enjoyed our stay in Mark's condo and would definitely stay here again.
Not much to add that other reviewers haven't already said. The location is great. One block from Main Street closer to the North end of town. I didn't end up skiing while in Breck, but it would have been very convenient to do so being so close to the gondola and 4-o'clock run. The place itself isn't very big, but it gets the job done. It has all the amenities you need, including a Keurig and a cupboard stocked with K-cups, in addition to the regular coffee machine. Traveling with a 2-year-old necessitates a small caffeine addiction.
The condo has a great location - close to downtown Breck and in front of the Four O'Clock trail.
A decent room, decent accommodations.
Perfect location, nice place. Thank you Mark!
This was a nice condo for skiing at Breckenridge. The condo is small but was comfortable for 3 adult men (who each had their own bed). Plenty of room for luggage and related ski gear (the complex will keep your skis/board in storage for you). Getting to the slopes is very easy - there's multiple shuttle buses directly out front or you can walk a short ways to the lifts. You can ski back in the afternoon to literally across the street which is awesome (take the "4 o'clock run").
Mark communicated well, so even though I didn't meet him (management company handles check-in) I felt like I could get a hold of him easily if I needed to.
Great location and space for our family of three! Mark was very easy to work with, check in and check out simple, condo has everything you need for a long weekend or week away. I would recommend this condo for a couple with two kids or two couples, easily.
PROS: Location - a quick block to Main Street or shuttle to the lifts. Space is large enough for a small group, clean, access to "hotel" amenitites (hot tub, gym, pool, front desk, ski check and heated underground parking). Kitchen well stocked with everything you need to make a meal. In room washer and dryer a huge plus when traveling with younger children! This unit is also handicap accessible.
CONS: The building is a little dated as is the unit. This was not an issue for us whatsover as the condo is priced right for all the pros!
Host was accommodating and in communication when needed. The condo is in a very convenient location with a river in the back and a nice, but unmaintained in the winter, patio. Good fireplace. We never watched TV but there seem to be a couple nice ones.
Upon checking in at the condo the front desk couldn't find our reservation and it appeared that's because they keep the owner paperwork in a different space. That was a little frustrating after a two hour drive but I knew we were in the right place and it was going to work out. We got the keys and attempted to pull into the parking garage. The key card scanner is suspended from above and swings freely in windy conditions so I had to get out in the freezing wind to scan the card. But then the card scanner swings and hits my car anyway while I'm trying to pull into the garage. We unloaded and went upstairs and all we want is a cup of coffee and to relax for a few minutes before we go check out the town. The inside of the Keurig is moldy with a used spiced cider pod still in it. Unfortunately those were the first impressions. The place was tidy, but not clean. It made me wonder what other short cuts were being taken. The towel rack in the bathroom also fell off the first time I passed through that door.
It is a handicap friendly unit which should be mentioned because it's not so great for people that aren't handicap. Everything is lower and we are tall people so it was noticeable. The beds were comfortable, which is nice, but doesn't really matter when you have schizophrenic snow clearing machines operating outside your window from 4-6am and it didn't even snow the night before.
The place was very nicely stocked with cooking utensils, lots of pots and pans, but no foil, plastic wrap, or bags of any kind.
I brought some cookie dough to make cookies on Christmas night but I forgot the milk. I thought maybe I could just ask the bar but they don't have any because the Bar isn't even slightly associated with the hotel. They rent it out to a guy that has his own standards, which are fine, but it's not your typical hotel bar. Those things can work in your favor if you like $2 draft beer.
Luckily this trip was about being together as a family. We made sure to enjoy our surroundings and it wasn't about the accommodations. Five stars for proximity to lift (but definitely not ski-in ski-out) and Main Street.
Mark and his daughters were a delight to host. We had great communication and they left our condo in fantastic shape. Anyone would be lucky to have him rent from them.
