Jax was an extremely considerate host who went over and above expectations to ensure that we arrived safely following unexpected delay to our travel. Home cooked breakfast and organic produce much appreciated. Our only regret is that we did not have longer to spend in Marble.
My friends and I were staying in Marble to run the Lead King Charity Race. We arrived after dark and Jax walked out to greet us with a flashlight and show us our room. A room with lots of character, great bed, very quiet even with a full house.
There was fresh banana bread and other breakfast choices.
The run was great and so was our impression of Jax.
The Purple Door Cabin at Raspberry Ridge is a comfortable and beautiful place to stay in lovely Marble, CO, which is a gem in the upper Crystal River Valley. We wanted to be in the mountains and able to hike from our door--the Purple Door Cabin delivered! We enjoyed the kitchen and all the beautiful natural light, as well as the comfy living and sleeping spaces. The sound of the river flowing behind the house brought nature even closer.
We had a great stay here. Jax made us feel very comfortable and she cooked us a tasty breakfast. We had nice conversation with her and Carla. We recommend her as a hostess for sure. Thanks jax
If you are looking for a quiet out of the way place to stay that gets a real sense of the Rocky Mountains, you have found it. This Bed & Breakfast is tucked into the mountains in a beautiful location that is easy to get to. The road is paved all the way to the driveway but you are definitely not in a city. It was wonderful to sit on the porch and just listen to the river that isn't too far away. The room was adequately sized, clean, and comfortable. The internet was a little bit slow, which was a bit killer for me as I had a little bit of work to finish up and didn't quite get to it all. But if you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place!
The cabin was adorable! It was well-kept and the perfect size for our 4-person group.
