Mariel's apartment was exactly as advertised. Comfortable, spacious and clean. It is in a great location if you want to be near the Metro in Mexico City and is just a quick walk to many coffee shops and neighborhood restaurants. For anyone looking to stay in the Narvarte neighborhood, I would suggest staying here. Lots of room for many people and decent amenities.
The description for this home meets expectations. The house is spacious, clean and in an excellent neighborhood. We reached out to Mariel on airbnb with less than 48 hours advance notice requesting to stay and she was very accommodating. We also arrived to the home over an hour later than expected and Mariel's husband Giuseppe was patiently waiting for us to deliver the keys to the property in person. We really appreciated how flexible and accommodating they were and highly recommend them to host your stay in Mexico City. There are plenty of dining options just footsteps away. Regarding transportation, Ecobici's are available in the area and you can also get anywhere in a taxi or via Uber. We rented a vehicle (not recommended) and street parking is available for 8 pesos per hour with a total of 6 hour increments. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Mexico City soon. Thanks Mariel & Giuseppe!
Mariel and her husband are very lovely. The aparent is very spacious and very very very well located. I reccomend ir.
This space was in a gorgeous neighborhood and really made us feel at home during our five-day stay in Mexico City! While definitely not quiet (lots of rowdy dogs and neighbors doing repair work in the building 24/7), we still found the place to be a really nice break from exploring the city. The five of us could have honestly used a bit more space (and possibly another bathroom!) but we were very happy to stay here and Mariel and her husband made it easy to pick up and drop off the keys at either end of our stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the apartment. It was clean, quiet and perfectly located.
The apartment is surrounded by trees in from the park and it feels like you are sleeping in the canopy. This makes it such a tranquil place to stay in a chaotic city.
We'd happily recommend staying here.
We had an excellent overall experience at Mariel's place on Campeche 365 in Condesa, Mexico City. We stayed here for one week. We were a family of 5, including myself, 7-year old daughter, husband, mother and brother. Mariel's husband received us upon arrival and provided all the information necessary to start our vacation. The apartment was clean, comfortable and fresh, and had all we needed for a pleasant stay. The fresh bananas and mangos were a delicious and welcoming surprise!
La Condesa is a very safe neighbourhood. There were many good restaurants of all kinds and a taxi site very close to the building. My favourite was la Cafebreria El Pendulo, a cafe inside a book store. Excellent for those of us that love books and good food! I will stay here again without doubt. Thanks to the hosts for all your help!
We enjoyed a six-night stay as a couple at Mariel's place in Colonia La Condesa, which provided a clean, quiet (both in the building and street), functional, and seemingly safe base from which to explore DF. We were welcomed personally by our hosts and we felt secure that they would attend to any problems that might arise. Fortunately, the apartment delivered on all the listed amenities in good working order, and it is large enough for families or people taking a longer stay to consider. The one thing to keep in mind is not to overload the electrical circuits with too many devices. The weather was mild, so I can't say what it'd be like when it's hot or cold outside, but mosquitoes will fly in if the courtyard door is left open.
The neighborhood seems to operate at a slower pace than other parts of the city and it features many good cafes and restaurants during the day and evening, easy and diverse food shopping, banks, and a central location by DF standards. It's also more expensive according to its reputation, but I wouldn't know by how much. There are radio taxis and ecobicis close by, and the circuit boulevards around the parks are great for strolling. I found Foursquare to have good local advice in Spanish.
My piece of advice: never ever underestimate the horribleness of traveling back from other parts of town to La Condesa during rush hour, which goes past 8pm, no matter what mode of transport you are taking including the otherwise fine Metrobuses.
Thanks for everything, Mariel and family, from both us.
We didn't meet Mariel but we were greeted by Giuseppe who was friendly and helpful. We liked the neighborhood and were surprised by the number of trees and parks in Mexico City. Thank you for letting us leave our luggage in the apartment until it was time to leave for the airport.
