Jay and Karri love to travel and have been together since 2008. He is from New Orleans and she is from the Houston area. He is currently in school for History Education and Karri recently "retired" as a public educator and is working in the tech industry. They love gardening, cooking, reading and traveling and took their first international trip together October 2012 to Peru to hike the Salkantay trail and see Machu Picchu.
They have four lovable cats in the house and a few urban chickens in the backyard that lay blue and green eggs. Fresh eggs are available year round (although they decrease their production during the winter months) and there is a large vegetable garden in the summer. They continue to explore personal sustainable practices and support a local CSA.
They love East Nashville and think it's the best side of town (no biases of course!) There are plenty of great restaurants, bars, shopping places to visit and there is a binder of local information for guests' convenience.
The YMCA and Riverside Village are within walking distance. There are two old school bikes to enjoy the East side or take for an early morning bike ride on the Shelby Bottom Greenway adjacent to the Cumberland River. *Note these aren't fancy, but they get the job done! Just let Karri know if you are interested.
They are laid back and will give you a much privacy as you'd like. Want some conversation? They love that too!
