The host canceled my reservation 16 days before arrival.
Had a wonderful stay at the Mountain Nest,
Sarah is a very lovely host and her place is located in a beautiful part of town, it s very green, there is a little hood just close to the house, and you have there the best view of the city, It s an excellent location as you are surrounded by nature.
The Bus and Subway are very easy access, and you will be able to find superstore and little cafe not far!
I really love the Mountain Nest, thank you Sarah for the warmth welcome, Angela
The Mountain Nest is a lovely apartment in a leafy green neighbourhood. Sarah is an accommodating and gracious host. I made a new best friend who joined me on several nature walks behind the apartment -- an adorable little dog. Unfortunately, he was just visiting so you will not have his company :) Overall, excellent value.
I was looking for a simple, cheap place for a few nights but the Mountain Nest turned out to be so much more than that. I couldn't have asked for a better place, especially at such a price. Sarah is an angel, as is little Sophie-Charlotte. Sarah made sure I was comfortable and happy at all times.
I can say that I arrived at the mountain nest as a guest, but left as a friend.
Thank you so much Sarah! 3
I stayed at Mountain Nest during my visit to Montreal in June 2011. My first impression of the place was "simple", and that was exactly what I wanted. I lived with Sarah and her lovely daughter Sophie (and also a cat :D), my room was basically their living room. I did not mind at all, because what I needed after sightseeing all day were merely a good shower and a bed. Also, the place is close to bus stops, so getting to downtown Montreal and Metro station is not hard at all, which I think is a very good note I need to make.
Sarah was very sweet and helpful when I had any questions. Place was very cute and not too far from many destinations. Very nice stay!
Honestly, I wasn't around all that much during the few days I was there...but when I was, George proved to be a generous and gracious host, and fun to talk to. Oh, and did you know that this place was recently designed a historic landmark? (website hidden)
As soon as Sarah opened the door I knew I had made the right choice because she was very friendly and welcoming. I quickly felt that the Mountain Nest was my home away from home! While the location is not in the centre of downtown Montréal or in the Plateau, it is not difficult to navigate the transit system, as well all the areas you would want to see are easily accessible. The location itself has some great benefits, including a great hiking trail, running track and wonderful fresh air! I really enjoyed my stay and if I have the chance to return to Montréal I would definitely stay at the Mountain Nest again!
A comfortable place close to campus. Sarah was away, but George was a gracious host who respected my privacy and need to work. He also provided some great book suggestions.
The hosts were very kind and welcoming; the house is lovely.
Sarah, with her daughter Sophie were delightfully sociable despite a late evening arrival after a long and meandering trip from Montreal. In the morning we enjoyed a hike on the snowshoe trail beside the lake with our two small dogs, stopping occasionally to interpret animal tracks and to discuss dinosaurs. As I had to return home to Toronto, Sarah and Sophie spent the rest of the time on their own. It was a pleasure to welcome these guests. We would look forward to another visit, perhaps in June. John
Sarah In all manner, it was a pleasure to have her
It was easy to coordinate with from the beginning, was self-sufficient during her stay, and was appreciative and thoughtful. She left my place in a great condition: laundry started, dishes cleaned and put away, etc. Sarah is welcomed back at any time! It's guests like these that continue to make the Airbnb experience first rate and well worth it
Sarah was very friendly, communicative, respectful and very clean. I would love to have her around for a little while longer. And highly recommend Sarah to any other Airbnb host.
It was a real pleasure to have Sarah and her daughter, Sophie, as my guests. Sarah was fun to talk to and very considerate. She always kept me posted on her trip with text messages, so I felt very confortable and organized the whole time. Thank you, Sarah.
George is a wonderful guest, kind, communicative, and tidy. It would be anyones pleasure to have George as a guest in there home.
Sarah and George and little Sophie were a joyful presence as they came to share the evening with us. We were delighted to have them as guests and feel honored to have been able to provide them with hospitality and help them for another seven hours on the road.
Sarah, George, Sophie Charlotte, and Elfie were wonderful guests! They were delightful company -- extremely friendly, grateful, and clean! Well-traveled and open-minded, they embody why we love hosting AirBnB guests! Thank you!
I didn't meet Sarah and George because I was away on vacation but I had very pleasant exchanges with them about their stay, and the house was in great shape when I got home.
