Wow what a cool place! This is my first tree house experience and it was amazing! I really wish we would have had more time in this area and this place! 2 nights was not enough. I would recommend staying in Montezuma area for at least a week . The tree house was amazing, very clean and comfortable. Every detail was well thought out and executed.
We had a wonderful stay at the treehouse. It's a one of a kind, unique experience that we were so glad to have had. The setting is peaceful and the design/layout of the treehouse is practical and comfortable. Falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle and waking up to the open air sunrise really brought our experience to the next level. The treehouse has all necessities and is a short drive to Montezuma. We would certainly go back!
Eine Super tolle Location. Viele liebe Menschen auf der Farm und ein und ein unvergesslicher Ausblick. Sehr empfehlenswert!!
We had a magnificent stay on the farm. Kara was our onsite host and she is wonderful. We had some trouble finding the tree house and she helped us and received us very graciously. We participated in several community meals on the farm for a very reasonable extra cost which was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. Jacques prepares vibrant delicious meals. The noises of the jungle entranced us during our stay, as did the views of the treehouse.
Good experience living in a treehouse. Unfortunately a bit far from Montezuma. Highly recommended to have own wheels
we loved this place and would love to stay here again our stay was short but we got a good feeling for the place and it was a great introduction to costa rica. i love the idea of tree houses so this place with its amazing attention to detail was incredible the kitchen worked supper well for us we made 2-3 meals there while we were there. there are plenty of grocery stores in a reasonable driving distance from the place. the staff there was very kind and welcoming they are running an awesome permaculture farm right near the tree house witch looked really cool we might join a retreat at this place in the future.
there is plenty of places to surf and swim we surfed in playa Carmen and went snorkeling in Montezuma where we took a 30 min boat ride to the island of tortuga it was a stunning adventure.
this was an absolutely amazing it had outstanding flow and energy and was a perfect retreat and re-set on our lives.
This is the reason to use airbnb: finding unique and unusual places to stay and to get a more authentic/local experience. The treehouse definitely delivered on all accounts!
We are two city folk and I'm afraid of heights. Nevertheless, this place was awesome. It's magical to sleep in a treehouse with no windows and only half-height walls (otherwise wide open to the jungle).
Make no mistake, this is closer to camping than a Four Seasons. As long as that's what you're looking for, I highly recommend this place. It was a major highlight of our trip. By the end of our stay, I was comfortable enough with the setup that the fear of heights didn't bother me. (I'm bad enough that I can't climb a ladder to change a lightbulb 12 feet off the ground at home, and the first night I stayed here was a little nerve-wracking.)
I do recommend bringing an LED headlamp (many for sale on Amazon; I have one from Energizer that I like, but I'm sure many are just fine). One other weird thing: my iPhone 5S wouldn't connect to the wifi, but my laptop connected just fine. The wifi is usable, but very high-latency and slow, so it's worthwhile to be connected a little bit back to "real life", but it's not usable for hardcore work, IMO. (You're not coming here to work anyway, right?)
We also took part in a shared breakfast on the farm next-door and enjoyed a tour of the farm.
This was a huge hit with my wife, and a big highlight of the trip for both of us. We were sad to have to leave.
Joseph was not on site, but Clem and Kara welcomed us. The location is truly magical, and the treehouse is a once in a lifetime experience. Everything was perfect - cooking, sleeping, and sharing a meal with the farmers.
Joseph's treehouse is truly a work of art. We were both so impressed by how well equipped it was and how beautiful it was inside. Joseph really thought of everything in it's construction, from a comfortable bed, to a speaker system to hook into, to a magical lighting system, to a fully functional kitchen. It was definitely hard to say goodbye to this treehouse and I'd highly encourage anyone who enjoys unique spaces and being immersed in nature to stay here. Everyone on the farm was super friendly and helpful and we really loved being able to visit with the animals too and spend time on the grounds. We walked into Montezuma (a bit of a trek but mostly downhill) and rented an ATV for 3 days while we were here which I would definitely recommend if you don't have a car. Incredible views, private, safe, and comfortable. Would love to visit again if I ever find myself back in Montezuma.
Joseph says it best in the listing, this place is a “super magical & unique tree house.” The Sacred Geome was our third and last stop in Costa Rica, and was to be our hope, the perfect New Year’s stay. The house sits at the back of a communal farm near Montezuma, away from the hustle of the beach tourists. Joseph’s description covers everything you need to know, except for the incredible need we had to never leave. There is the incredible view from your bed into the jungle during the day, with calming small stars of lights from Cobano on the horizon at night. There is the exhilaration of falling to sleep to a million crickets, frogs and the occasional bird, and then waking to small farm animals in the distance. There is the rush of an open air bathroom (definitely private) that makes you wonder why we would ever want to shower in a closet-sized room. And then there is the thrill of living in a treehouse, remembering our days as kids hanging out in backyard forts watching the summer sun go down.
So advice from my work cubicle in subzero temperatures: book this place and reserve your spot in heaven.
Joseph and Cassie were great guests! I wouldn't hesitate to host them again!
