Hi, we stayed in Kate's apartment for a few days and had a great time! Her apartment is perfectly in line with her description and location is ideal to discover Manhattan as well as Brooklyn. East Village is very lively with many small restaurants and bars however the apartment was very quiet. We did not get to meet Kate but she was available per text and very helpful. I am sure you will enjoy your stay :)
Just returned from a quick trip to NYC where we had our first experience using Air BnB. During past visits we have always stayed with friends. Staying at Kate's home for the weekend was just like staying with a friend (only without the imposition). Kate's apartment was clean (which I am a stickler about), comfortable (good mattress and pillow density options) and quiet (surprisingly so given the location). The location is fantastic and Kate was never more than a text or email away. She left an adorable little welcome message and a stack of clean towels, which was particularly thoughtful. Everything went perfectly smooth. If you're on the fence, go ahead and book - you won't regret it!
Kate was very receptive from the beginning! Helped with all the doubts and always responded promptly!
The apartment is very well located in one of the nicest neighborhoods in NYC. Directly across from Chelsea Markets and a block away from the High Line Park. You seriously could not ask for a better location.
The apartment itself was cozy and incredibly neat
We started on the right foot with airbnb!
Absolutely recommend staying in her place
Kate was very helpful throughout the entire process, from beginning to end she was responsive and willing to help out with any questions i had. I never had to wait longer than a few minutes to get a reply from her, whether it was a phone call or text. The apartment itself was nice, cozy, and clean. Overall i would say that Kate was a fantastic host and i would definitely recommend staying at her place!
Kate's Chelsea One Bedroom apartment gets an A+. The location was literally in the heart of Chelsea directly across from Chelsea Markets and a block away from the Gansevort Hotel. You seriously couldn't ask for a better location. Her apartment was meticulously clean and incredibly neat. Kate had great follow through and was very proactive when it came to making the booking. Overall, this was a great first time experience with airbnb.
We had never stayed in anything other than a hotel when traveling, so we were a little leery on doing this. Overall Katherine's was a GREAT place to stay! The place was on a busy road which made getting around very easy and Katherine answered any questions we had! I would definitely stay there again!
My mum and I stayed at Katherine's place for 3 nights and we loved it.! Great location, clean and comfortable. Katherine was easy to communicate with, helpful and informative.
Thanks Katherine :)
Katherine's studio apartment was exactly as described. Perfect location for access to many of the great neighborhoods in San Francisco. Katherine was very easy to communicate with and flexible with check in/out times. Overall a great experience.
Katherine was a good host - her flat was nice and cosy. The location is just great - in the heart of SF just like the ad says! We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go or take the famous tram:)
It's worth mentioning that we had a hard time finding street parking as there is a 2 hour maximum parking during the day, and as we did not want to move the car every day we were not able to park the car in the street. We did however find a parking house a couple of blocks away where we could leave the car overnight for a $35 fee ($25 for compact cars).
Katherine was always very friendly and responded to our questions promptly which we appreciated. Overall, we had a great stay in SF!
I stayed with my friend over the weekend of July 4th. Katherine's apt was just so awesome. Her apt IS in the heart of SF. It was so easy for us to get around and everything was so close from her apt. The neighborhood was so much nicer than any other adjacent neighborhoods. There was a small market/liquor store right in front so it was very convenient to get food and drinks. Also her place was so cozy and clean. Katherine was very flexible with check-in and check-out times. She understood when we had to leave the place earlier than we thought due to the airport cancellation madness. We weren't able to tidy up the place for her but she still understood. Overall, it was an awesome experience! We'll definitely come back to her place!
This was an interesting request - I hosted Kate's dad Bill, who had a hard time booking through airbnb as he hadn't built up enough experience of staying with people. We were more than happy to host a new-timer, we love having people stay and he was really a really fantastic guest. He was friendly, interesting, enjoyed chatting with Mike and I, and busy like us too - he fit right in!
Kate, feel free to send me through his Airbnb profile, I'm more than happy to give him a reference should he need it for the future. All the best!
Katherine was great. Took good care of the house and was very respectful, friendly and communicative. I would recommend her to future hosts and would welcome her back any time!
Katherine was super responsive, quiet and respectful. She left the place clean and tidy and is welcome back anytime.
