Udai Haveli is a great place to stay in Udaipur. The city is beautiful and very relaxing, with lots to see within walking distance. The meals included with airbnb booking were excellent, the roof has a nice view of the city, and the rooms are very clean and sunny. The best part about Udai Haveli was undoubtedly the hospitality extended by Vicky, the host. Vicky helped us see everything we wanted to in Udaipur, and was great to hang around with at the guest house. He speaks excellent English and is really an expert in hospitality.
Oh Udaipur! Had we known what we know now, we might well have ended up spending the entire week there. The title "Venice of the East" does not do the city sufficient justice. Definitely worth experiencing. A significant part of what we enjoyed about the place was the people with whom we interacted, not the least being the family which runs Udai Haveli.
Heavy rains had caused some water to come into our room before we arrived, but that was cleaned up while we were checking in. No further such inconveniences were encountered. The building is authentic Indian and a winds around an opening with no roof, creating a sense of openness. It was clear that minor work was still ongoing, such as mending fixtures and lights. This in no sense caused any inconvenience: if anything I am excited about how the place would look when everything is fixed up!
Our bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious and the food delicious. While you are at the guest house and not sleeping, you will likely find yourself sitting outside at dining area, chatting to other travellers or members of the family and sharing stories about different cultures, places and adventures. It was a delight to see the family involved with the business. I would be happy to return in a few years to see how it has grown! Keep up the good work!
Virendra and his family are lovely hosts, their home is really central, easy to find and very clean and comfortable. We were really happy here and would recommend it to anyone. Virendra was really helpful when were were trying to find some non tourist fabric places and the home cooked thali was delicious!
We hope very much to see you again soon

Udai Haveli guest house is also a family residence, and that's what makes it so special. Virendra and his brother Jitendra are both in the hospitality business and their entire family contributes to make your stay memorable. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food, cooked by their mother, is spectacular local cuisine "like only a Mom makes!" The guest house is close to the key sites of Udaipur and everything is in walking distance. If not, Virendra and Jitrenda will have a good economical suggestion to solve nearly any problem. I cannot recommend a visit to Udaipur and the Udai Haveli highly enough!
