The apt was perfect! Clean and well put together, it's in the prettiest enclave of Boston. Mary was easy to get in contact with and a pleasure to deal with. highly recommended!
This was the first time I've stayed in a vacation rental, and Mary set the bar high for any future stays. The apartment was clean, very charming, and in a fantastic location, just a short few blocks to the T and in easy walking distance of Back Bay, the Boston Common (where the Freedom Trail begins), the Charles River, and the rest of Beacon Hill. It is also half a block from Charles Street, which has tons of cute shops and restaurants (reminds me of a cross between Pacific Heights and Noe Valley for those familiar with San Francisco). The bedroom was a tad chilly the first two nights we were there, but to be fair, it was late January and below zero outside; my husband and I activated the space heater in the bedroom and it did the trick. (We also realized that we have become unused to apartment living, as the pitter patter of the feet of the cute little girl in the unit above us occasionally drew our ears. She's not old enough to stay up late, though, so her activity never disturbed us.) Mary was accessible and easy to make arrangements with, and she was very sweet ("Please don't worry about it -- I understand that things happen") when I ruined one of her fluffy white towels with the residual hair dye that apparently always washes out of my hair between colorings. I would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone considering a pleasure trip to Boston!
The location can't be beat! Walking distance to so much in the city and a short pretty walk through the park to get to the subway. Apartment was fantastic. Lots of space, clean, convenient availability of Wifi / computer. When we had minor questions, Mary got back to us very quickly (within 15 minutes!). We will be recommending this to all our friends who may be thinking of heading to Boston. Thanks again, Mary!
Absolutely gorgeous apartment just off Charles Street, one of the prettiest streets in Boston, and walking distance to all the main attractions. Couldn't ask for a better location. Mary was really responsive and answered our queries by text within minutes. The apartment felt really spacious and the pictures are very accurate. I would definitely stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending it.
The entire apartment has been recently renovated and everything is virtually brand new. We were within a 10 minute walk from: Boston Common; the Charles River; the train station; a 24/7 CVS Pharmacy (where a quart of milk is 40% less than the Charles St Market!); and lots of places to eat. We tried and would recommend Pierrot's (French), 74 Chesapeak, Fig's (great pizza!), and The Sevens (dart board pub with great French dip roast beef sandwich!). Host was very helpful with arrival arrangements and sightseeing suggestions - she is a native and knows her town. I'll probably never stay in hotel again!
Mary was a great hostess and responded to messages in a timely fashion. Very nice apartment in a great location. So much nicer to have your own spot instead of a hotel, and for less money! I will definitely stay here again when I visit Boston!
Great host and a beautiful apartment in a perfect location.
Mary was a great guest. She was super neat and very trustworthy.
