Hi my name is Kris.
I'm Canadian and live in Dublin, Ireland. I speak English and French (and a bit of Spanish and Japanese). I'm interested in neighbourhoods with an urban feel, places located in spots with locally owned shops and cafés - or beaches and parks. I'm Artistic Director and CEO of Tiger Dublin Fringe - the city's largest interdisciplinary arts festival that sweeps across the city every September. It's amazing to get to know Dublin through its artists and happenings - the city's cultural calendar is always packed with great stuff.
I travel often, and always try to add a bit of exploring a city to a work trip. I'm social and friendly and like to have my own space to retreat to - when I travel I can be home late from a show and up early for a meeting. I usually travel with a suitcase and a decent budget, I haven't backpacked in a long time. I love to discover new things about a place - like to live like the locals. If you're ever in Dublin- would be happy to share some favourite spots!
Can't live without: a great performing arts venue, festival and gallery, record collection, dinner and drinks with friends, good place for a drink, bike riding, a gym or place to go running, food of all kind. A bit of nightlife, gay or otherwise is a good thing too.
Favourite destinations: Madrid, Melbourne, Reykjavik, Cape Breton, Kyoto, Tokyo, Ljubljana, Rio de Janeiro, Ghent and San Francisco.
Hope to meet you soon.
