I love traveling, photography, learning and spending time with family and friends!
I will try to keep this as short as I can! Overall, the place is great, if you are looking for something in this area stop reading and book it, this is your place!
The lobby is over the top fancy (IMO) but it grows on you. The apartment is small but has everything you need. No TV but if you need one, it is in the fancy lobby! They are everywhere! Come on, you are in Chicago, why do you need a TV anyway? Go explore!
The apartment was very clean and had everything I needed to be comfortable. If you are NOT used to street noises you may want to bring a white noise device or ear plugs, etc..It isn't excessive but it is right outside the window.
Hannah answered ALL of my questions, and their were a lot since this was my first time using this service. She provided me with her contact information and was timely in her replies.
There isn't a lot else to say, it was very clean, fairly quiet, and a nice place to stay!
There are a lot of ethnic and interesting restaurants around the corner, I regret I wasn't able to try as many as I would have liked!
A few cons that are NOT Hannah's fault, but just a FYI. If you are driving, be prepared for the parking. I was there on the weekend so I eventually found a free spot but it was not easy. The last night (Sunday into Monday) I actually parked quite a few blocks away in a hospital parking garage. Only $8 so I was happy about it. I had my car loaded with IKEA items, so I wanted my car off the street. I had no problems on the street or in the garage.
It isn't too close to the L, but I know buses are around there, I just didn't need them this trip.
Really, outside of the parking (which I knew about ahead of time) this place is great.
Thank you Hannah!!!
Hannah was very flexible and accommodated everything to my needs. A great host!
My boyfriend and I had a great time at Hannah's place in Chicago! What a great location, walking distance to so many restaurants and bars and a bus that takes you downtown. The reception at her apartment building was exceptional too – they reserved an early morning pick-up to the airport for us.
Hannah's studio was warm and cozy. Heads up to those not used to studio living: the nighttime buzz of the refrigerator while you sleep might be a new surprise, but it's a minor thing that can easily be ignored. Whenever we come to Chicago next, I'll definitely look up this place again.
