Hello everybody!! I am Alessio an italian citizen, cat lover and of course of every animals; whishful to know different (well educated) persons and to exchange many experience of travel and of course accommodate you in Rome!!Greetings from Rome!!
We're a 30 year old couple and pretty laid back...while Alessio & his mother were great hosts they were very particular about their house. And they should have been...it was beautifully appointed. I'm not sure it should be listed as luxury when what you're renting is a small room and not access to the common area of the apartment. That said, the hosts were very kind and wanted to make sure our stay was comfortable. We would stay with them again but generally look for younger, easier going folks.
Our stay with Alessio and his mother was wonderful. The two are very warm and make wonderful hosts. They provided breakfast and even made sure we had food in our bellies before we left early for the train on the last day. They were available to answer questions and were very attentive to our needs. They told us if we had any concerns or needed anything to let them know, but they had covered any concern we may have had.
Alessio's directions to the apartment were very clear and helpful.
The room was in good condition and we had a lovely view and breeze from the window. There was plenty of space for both and my wife and I as well as our luggage. The bed was comfortable for both of us. The bathroom was very clean also.
The location of the apartment was also convenient and in a good area of Rome. The train was just minutes away and many of the sites were within waking distance or easy to get to by the train or bus. The Circo Massimo is just a short walk and the Colosseum is also close. The bus to go to Appia Antica is just down the street! From where we were you were not also bothered by all the noise that comes from being in the city. We also found that we did not run into as many of the tourist traps in this area and the dinning areas nearby were more reasonably priced than what you will see in much of the other areas of Rome.
It is best to keep in mind though, that you are staying in a room in someone's home, which is not for everyone. But the hosts are more than hospitable and respectful; we never lacked privacy. We stayed here during our honeymoon.
All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay and we would recommend this room to others open to traveling this way.
It was a pleasure to meet our hosts and stay in their home. We are very grateful they opened their home to us.
Big thanks to Alessio and his mom! It was amazing time in Rome. A convenient location in the center of Rome. 3 minutes to The Roman Forum! 10 minutes to Colosseo. It's the best location to walk in all direction. All interesting is around Alessio's apartment.
And now about apartment. So beautiful courtyard, many trees. House is presentable. Our room was with big balcony. It was amazing! Nice vew and many many greens. Our room was big and light. Many mirrors, big closet, large bathroom. And a little kitty Crystal in the living room.
Sweet breakfasts with coffee or tea and juice made us powerful for long time.
Alessio and his mom were very kind, careful and sociable. They gave us many useful adveces.
For me it's the best offer in Rome. Prefer this apartment if you want feeling yourself like at home and have very chic rest at reasonable rate!
Our stay with Alessio and his mother was pleasant. We had a clean room, a comfortable bed, and a nice view from the large window. The location can't be beat. Alessio was also very nice to let us leave our bags with him on our last day as we toured the city before catching our flight home. A solid choice.
We enjoyed our stay with Alessio and his mum, who offered us a warm welcome and were very helpful (even by email before we arrived) - not to mention their lovely playful young cat, who stays in the living room. We were in the room with a balcony, with a lot of space for bags and clothes, and a king size bed, rather comfortable. The apartment was clean and well taken care of, especially the bathroom that we shared with Alessio and his mum. The place is really well located, a ten-minute walk from the Coliseum, in a peaceful neighbourhood. We had a set of keys, which enabled us to organize our days as we wanted without having to check our watches. Finally, the breakfast was served in the bedroom, with a hot beverage, an industrial orange juice, a yoghourt, bread, butter and jam - it was okay without being delicious and there were less to eat than what we are used to in France (but it seems that Italians don't eat much for breakfast, so we should notice the effort).. So, thanks a lot to Alessio and his mum for this nice stay! Don't hesitate if you're looking for a place to stay in Rome!
The place is conveniently located as it's not far from the metro station. Alessio and his mother were friendly and welcoming. Bathroom and bedroom were clean and spacious. Getting breakfast served in the mornings was a nice bonus.
Staying at Alessio's apartment started good but ended very badly. On last day of our accomodation when we get back to home from Vatican, we were greeted by Alessio with frustration. He started keep asking us '' what did you do the sheets'' and we had no idea what's going on and really suprised. He forced us to show some pictures that he took from the sheets but nothing was visible in there. So I asked him to show us the sheet itself and all of us went to bathroom to see the sheets. There were some really tiny spots on the sheet but we had no idea where it come from as we haven't checked sheet carefully in first place. ( you should really checked carefully to see these spots) But Alessio and his mother blamed us to made this spot on the sheet and asked 100 euro refund money to cover that. We really frustrated and a bit scared the attitudes of the hosts and left home almost by running. We were trembling when we step out the home. I totally not recmmoend this house to anyone as we had a awful experience in there. It was my worst experience in Airbnb hopefully I will never face any such situation ever.
Allessio and his mum were very nice and helpful with information. The room is very spacious and the location of the apartment is quite good.
Staying in this safe central neighbourhood in a beautifully furnished super clean apartment with Alessio and his delightful and talented mother truly made our Rome holiday begin well.
There was wonderful food for breakfast, caring and helpful hosting and great advice and support for our trip. Alessio's help included making last minute long distance taxi arrangements for us in the pouring rain.
Alessio and his mother are very thoughtful, kind and caring people who will make you feel welcome.
The location is central yet away from the crush of the touristy centre so your visit brings you into contact with Romans not tourists in the surrounding stores and restaurants.
I highly recommend this beautiful clean place for a wonderful stay in Rome and am grateful that we had the chance to stay there and meet this wonderful family.
Alessio and Jolanta were wonderful hosts. They were well welcoming, very helpful, providing us with a lot of information. They made good breakfast and good cafe for us at any time, and clean our room every day even wished clothes for us. i want to say many thanks for both of them. And The apartment at a very good location, 2 minutes to subway(lina B Circo Massimo) and 10 minutes to Colosseum by walk, the room were very quiet at night so you can get good sleep. Second, the room was a good size and with clean and lovely balcony can see Venice Square. And you can get private bathroom. The two cats were adorable and friendly and did not enter our room and no smell in whole apartment. There have many flower in the room, so feel very well. This experience was wonderful and let's me feel a real Italian home and life, rather than hotel. Great for every visitors to Rome. And high recomand.

I had the pleasure to spend 3 nights in Alessio's home and was sad to leave it. It was very clean-the cats did stay far away from any area of ours. Breakfast was served on the gardened balcony, it was April and the weather was perfect. Over breakfast we could point out the (western) spots we were going to from our view. On the way to the metro, we stopped at the supermarket and bought fresh prosciutto, bread and fruits. There is also a (clean) Roman water fountain less than a block from the house providing us with our water for the day. We are hikers and found the walk to Circo Massimo, up to the Colisseum and into town invigorating and skipped the metro two of our three days. We also walked home at night and felt completely safe. But for those with less of an inclination to walk long distances, the metro is less than 10 minutes away-and usually not crowded at this stop.
All areas in the home were clean everyday. The bed was very comfortable and the morning light is perfect.
The hosts are wonderfully helpful and give you advice and information or space if you prefer. The building is very nice with (clean) marble entryway and a small lift. The neighborhood is very modern-European with trees and clean buildings. Embassies and large world organizations are near and provide added security to the area.
If you are looking for a relaxing Roman accommodations, this is the perfect place to "go home" to.
We enjoyed our stay with Alessio and his mother. They were very kind hosts, helpful, and accomodating. We slept like rocks, and the location was incredibly convenient. We felt safe, and walked everywhere with ease. Excellent value. Would recommend.
