We loved our stay at Carlo's place. We wished we could have stayed longer, but Imperia was just a one night stay for us. Carlo was very helpful and gave us maps, answered our questions etc. Our room was just lovely, spacious, of very good quality with a well appointed bathroom. It was a bonus to have a balcony with a great view over the city from up high. We left the large balcony doors open in the night and the fresh air made for a great sleep. We walked into town in the evening for a meal by the waterfront which was nice. Breakfast in the morning was perfect! Although Carlo has a dog, he was careful to keep the dog separate from us once I told him my husband is allergic. This was very kind and understanding of Carlo. A great stay, thanks Carlo!
Carlo made me feel very welcome even offering to collect me from the train station. His house was in a quiet part of town but close enough to the heart of Imperia. My room was spacious, clean and tidied every day. Carlo was very knowledgable about the area and helped with hire cars and even dropped me off in the port a couple of times. Thank you.
Carlo’s house is located at the top of a hill – overlooking the old town of Porto Mauricio. It is a beautifully kept villa with marble stair case, tall ceilings and an overall great atmosphere. The bedrooms and baths are clean & bright and each have a balcony / terrace overlooking the garden. Bathrooms are shared as is the terrace for two of the rooms. Breakfast is served in the garden under old pine trees. We were even allowed to use the kitchen for making egg & bacon (“German breakfast”) – to extend the already sumptuous choice of jam, yoghurt, fruits and juices. Carlo has an excellent sense of humor and was a lovely host always giving us full attention but also privacy. Thank your for having us and sharing your paradise with us!
Cycling path along the coast from San Lorenzo al Mare to San Remo and beyond is well recommended. As are trips to San Remo, Diano Marina, Alassio and Dolcedo (stroll along the river to Lecchio).
Market in Imperia / Oneglia on Tuesday and Saturdays; The Porto Mauricio market (with similar fare) is on Wednesday.
Carlos was a wonderful host. he received us upon arrival and was very accommodating to our changing plans. My boyfriend was afraid of the dog on the property and Carlos was so gracious and helpful about the situation. thank you so much! I loved the villa and felt very comfortable. The view is stunning, very close to Imperia beach and old town and with a beautiful garden where we enjoyed a great breakfast. Thank you very much for everything, Carlos!
Though my fiance and I only stayed one night in Carlo's listing, we had a great experience. Carlo (and his very friendly dog) made us feel very welcome; his home has a happy and comfortable atmosphere, and is in a beautiful location. We were given all the privacy that we needed, and had everything required for a comfortable stay. Thank you, Carlo!
Ospitalità eccellente, proprietario molto gentile, ottima anche la colazione, la posizione molto tranquilla ma lontana dal centro. Comunque da consigliare
It was very pleasant stay in Carlo's house. He is very nice and friendly host and makes you feel almost as you are part of family. The rooms and bathroom are perfectly clean and he cleans every day which was nice surprise. The breakfast was moment we were looking forward each day. We got some nice suggestions about beaches and places to visit around and Carlo's choice was always good. He let the visitors use kitchen and garden without limits so you can buy some nice italian stuff and cook and eat it in garden. The parking is private so you do not need to worry about your car. Imperia is also very nice small city with beautiful centre and harbour full of restaurants and bars. Both families and young people would find some entertainment. In case you are without car you just have to count with quite heavy hill until you reach the house but it's worth it. Also the people who really do not like animals should not book this place. Carlo has amazing dog which is friendly and listen to the boss but it's still animal in house and I can understand that some people would not be happy. But for us it was another plus as we love dogs and my little daugher loves the dog as well. If we ever goes near this part of Italy again, I would definitely stay at Carlo's house again and would recommend it to all my friends as well.
We enjoyed our stay at Carlo´s B&B in Imperia. Carlo was a great and caring host; he took us from the train station, gave us helpful tips (restaurants, beach) and served us a real italian breakfast. The room was like they are shown on the pictures, clean and comfortable. There was a little supermarket near the house and only little distance to the beach. We would recommend Carlo`s B&B!
I had a great time staying at Carlo's B&B. He works very hard to make his guests comfortable. He was very responsive to every single request we had. Fresh home style breakfast is served every day on the patio. As long as you don't mind a big friendly dog, it's a good budget place to stay in Imperia. Only 10-15 min walk to the beach and the train station. Thank you, Carlo, for your hospitality!
Great guests. Hope they enjoyed New York City.
Stefano and Marco were a delight to host. Great cooks :) I wish them well in their year here in NY!
