Hi I am Sue, a retired professional , live in this paradise by the beach with my poodle Sophie who loves pats and conversation with guests.
Working part time only, am a Commissioner for Declarations,
great host, made to feel very welcome. Thanks Sue
This was our first experience of a "private room within a house. Sue was very welcoming and respected our privacy. A very warm and homely place.
Sue was a great host. She has been doing this a good while and she leaves you alone unless you need something which I like. The accommodation was as described although be aware of the trains that pass by [ two a day].
Thank you Dan. Best wishes Sue
Sue was a great host. Very accommodating, polite, thoughtful and friendly. We had a lovely stay at her house with lots of room and a beautiful walk on the beach in the morning.
Thank you Wendy. All perfect
Sue made me most welcome, and I had a great relaxing night before the sail home.
Thank you Les, you were the perfect guest. Warm regards Sue
Thank you Sue for a magnificent stay, a very helpful lovely lady, made me feel quite at home - also I thank Sophie and Her Highness as well, as I was missing my own fur babies.
We did miss you you Rosalie when you left to continue your travels. Thoroughly enjoyed your stay . Your present is growing nicely, fond regards.
Wonderful host and experience. The unit is right by the beach! Pretty secluded but that is what I was going for and other city's and activities are very close. I used this as a great place to see penguins nearby and one day to do the Cradle Mountain Summit hike (approx 1 hour drive away). Host made sure to grab coffee for me and even supplied my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the hike! Bed was comfortable and I slept great... You also have your own small living room to sit and watch television if you would like.
Thanks Chad, enjoyed your stay . Thank you for your kind words. Welcome back anytime. Will keep up with your adventures on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)
Sue, and her lovely little dog, made us feel very welcome, and the accommodation was just as described, with a lovely double bedroom, and nice separate lounge with TV, small table and chairs, microwave, fridge , tea, coffee etc, and outlook across the road through some trees to the water. we were provided with nice continental breakfast ingredients, including some nice fruit.
We drove the few km into town and did a lovely city walk, admiring the many historic buildings in Ulverstone. The town has a lovley old world feel, although the new warf development has a very modern appearance.
Overall, a very pleasant spot to spend a night on our journey along the nort-west coast.
Lovely to have you both stay. Welcome back anytime
I was attending a conference in Penguin nearby which included all meals so was gone by 8am and not back till late each night, since I was having a lovely social time. So I only met Sue briefly on the first night. Although I was quiet when arriving back at night, her dog generally barked at my entry which I felt a bit guilty about.
The bed was comfortable. The shower is in the bath which was fine for me but may not suit others perhaps not as fit/agile.
Beautiful drive along the coast to Penguin.
Everything you mentioned is already in my profile, maybe a hotel would be more suitable for you in future due to your late hours
Good, old fashioned country hospitality. Excellent value. Arrived very late but no problem for Sue to let us in.
