Married with two grown kids, one married and expecting a baby. I'm an artist--I do ceramic sculpture--and my husband is a chemistry professor. We love to travel and will certainly be doing more visiting with a grandchild on the way. As a former English professor I'm a big reader and I like my quiet time. I don't really like being in crowds but I love wandering around in cities on foot as a way to get to know them. San Francisco is my favorite American city and Paris is my favorite city in the whole world. My husband travels abroad a great deal as part of his work and I enjoy going along for the ride. As we've gotten older we've found that comfort is more important to us though that doesn't have to mean luxury. We are in our 60's but very active and fit. We are both yoga fanatics. Family is probably the most important thing to me but I love art, serious literature, classical music--especially opera, good movies (foriegn, arthouse especially), and interesting gourmet food. We enjoy short trips to wine country for relaxation. We love interesting cities but we also love the ocean and the fantastic natural scenery of the West.
