I am a low-maintenance woman, quiet, kind, conscientious, health-seeking and open-minded, without drinking, drugs, smoking, obnoxiousness or drama. Right now I am working in records management, taking online graduate courses to get my Library & Information Science degree, and helping out in archival institutions on a volunteer/internship basis. This means I don't really have free time anymore, but when I do I'm generally hanging out with my partner, doing art/craft, reading, snoozing, yoga, hanging out with any animals that will tolerate me (I don't have any of my own right now), or exploring/wandering. As an introvert, solitude (at least a little each day), rest, creativity, nature, and conscious reflection are what I prefer not to live without. I prefer to live without TV, addictions, or militant attitudes/beliefs.

I've lived in California all my life. I love going places I've never been, and taking different routes to get different perspectives on what I thought I already knew. I aim to never be a tourist, but a traveler, and I travel with humility and reverence for the places and people I encounter. I don't like to make a big footprint, so to speak. I don't need the amenities of a hotel, so I'd rather give my money to a hostel or a household in the community than to a hotel chain. I pretty much keep to myself; I'm happy to interact if you want to interact, but don't feel like you have to entertain me if I'm in your home.

My evolution is maddeningly slow in many regards; coming to terms with that is a process of growth in itself. But I am always trying to improve, and I do the best I can, and that has to be enough.
