I'm a Unitarian Universalist minister (respecting all faiths) now mostly counseling couples, marrying them, and celebrating people's lives when they've passed, and my husband is a fabulous hands-on science teacher for 11 and 12 year olds. You can check us out on my website, (website hidden). There's a picture of both of us on the page 'A Little About Rev. Renteria.' We're easy going and love to travel. We don't smoke - both of us are allergic to it and scents - and I am allergic to dogs and cats, too. If they're not allowed in the room where we sleep then I'm fine with their presence. I love them and will greet them, since I'm in their home, too, but will wash my hands afterward. Other than those constraints, we're easy. We're quiet and we love art and architecture, eating good food in local funky non-touristy places, and exploring on foot or (if's it's easy) on bicycle. We love movies and theater, interesting architecture, good books, and crossword puzzles. We have 4 birds and especially love our Senegal parrot, Mango, who has us well trained. Ruben especially loves geology, his area of studies. And Robin loves history. We live in NC but have lived in NY, TX, CA, and more. I was a foreign exchange student in South Africa in high school and have prioritized low-key traveling all my life. Ruben was born in Cuba and is fluent in Spanish. I am an advanced beginner in Spanish and there I remain despite my diligence. :-) We both love that the similarity of our names bring a smile to folks' faces, and we believe that this is proof that the universe has a sense of humor. And to add to the joke, we live on the corner of Robert Ct. and Rhonda Road. We really love the joy of connecting with others all over the world and creating an appreciative world community one person at a time.
