Hello to the airbnb community! My name is Vanessa. I am a born and raised Tucsonan. I have lived in the desert heat for most of my life, with a very short 3 and a half year stay in Oregon so I could attend graduate school and then work for a short while. Sadly though, all of my family still lives in Tucson AZ so I moved from the lush green beauty of southern Oregon back to the hot, dry, desert of my hometown. While I strongly enjoy Oregon's weather more than the Arizona heat I wouldn't change things for the world. Family first in my book :)
Needless to say, I am not a very traveled person. I learned about this website from a friend who says that she has had the most amazing experiences. I would love to get out and travel more and visit my old haunting grounds in Oregon, so I decided to give airbnb a try. I absolutely love the architechture of homes in other states and figured this would be an amazing way to travel. Traditional hotels are always so cold and stark that I thought traveling this way would not only fill my need for adventure, but also give me the opportunity to feel "at home".
Thank you so much for being a part of this community and sharing your home with us!
