We had a very nice stay at Mona's. Excellent breakfast, best advice for visiting Connemara ( walks, pubs, seafood, etc). A warm welcome to start with, beautiful bedroom and bath in a gorgeous house. Very pleasant.

I just returned home from a ten day driving tour of Ireland. I traveled with my boyfriend (mid 40s) his mother (mid 60s), his sister (early 40s), and my father (mid 50s). They left the lodging to me (early 30s) - I always make the plans. I have good taste, I have experience in the hospitality industry, therefore they trust me. But that doesn't mean I don't still get nervous when given the responsibility of arranging the accommodations...
Our last three nights were spent at this spacious, quiet, clean, warm, former B&B in Cashel. I would describe this house as picturesque. It was well decorated and every room had the most stunning view of the magical bog land outside. Each window, was draped in luxurious linens, making privacy of the utmost importance. I should also mention that the kitchen was very easy to navigate - we made breakfast every morning. From Cashel, we were able to drive to all of our must-visit towns and must-see sites, like the Cliffs of Mohr, the Burren, Roundstone, Clifden, Galway, Leenane, Cong (and more) - all within a reasonable amount of travel time. Mona was wonderful to work with from the start - and very patient as we were trouble shooting with airbnb. Karen was a pleasure to meet and chat with as well - her tour of the house was much appreciated. And John was a helpful source too - he called to check on us, and gave us some great tour info. We left Cashel and headed back to the States feeling rested, relaxed, and recharged.
I give this house my highest recommendation for accommodations in CO Galway.
Had a lovely stay at with Mona who was very welcoming. We had a tasty breakfast of cereal, yoghurt and toast. The house was situated in a quiet, beautiful part of the countryside and we were well located for getting about.
Wonderfully clean and well located house. Spacious downstairs room and bathroom with use of attractive front room. Breakfast was excellent and pleasant change from cooked Irish. Close to Cashel bay. Hydrangeas decorate the garden.
We felt very welcome in this beautiful house overlooking the beautiful Cashel bay. Our room was big and very charming. Mona and her husband were very welcoming ! They offered a lot of good recommandations on places to visit, and our wonderful experience of Connemara is a lot due to them ! The breakfast was delicious. We were sorry that our stay was so short !
What an amazing stay we had with Mona and her husband John! It started with great communication through the site and John informing me before we arrived that they would be away for a few hours which gave us the opportunity to plan our arrival!
When we arrived after a long, cross country drive we were welcomed by both Mona and John with a lovely cup of tea to their truly beautiful and magical home. The room we rented was beautiful and spacious and was really everything you could hope for. The area where they are situated is breathtaking and with some great tips we were guided to some great places to visit and eat. In the morning we were greeted with a truly lovely breakfast accompanied by homemade jam and marmalade.
We've been travelling on Airbnb for quite some years and this was truly one of the very best experiences I've ever had! Mona and John epitomise hospitality and I would recommend them to everyone!
The house is very beautiful and the host are lovely, the rooms are large and extremely comfortable.
I'd recommend to everyone to spend here at least one night.
Mona and John were excellent hosts! Their spacious, well decorated home is a joy to visit. Sunset over Cashel Bay was lovely, as was our dinner at the hotel pub next door. (fresh, wild caught local salmon, yum!) They served us a lovely breakfast al-fresco in a well tended garden full of blossoms. They are pleasant conversationists, yet made sure to allow us some "alone time". A lovely couple!
This is a fabulous place on the Bay! The host are super nice and have the most stylish home to enjoy. Mona should be called the hostess with the mostest! She made tea and then gave me options for wine (you can not say no to Mona:) and in the morning I had fresh orange juice-it was unbelievable! This place is very close to the "bog rd" if you want to take a nice sight seeing drive. Loved it!
