This place was amazing. It was even better then I had imagined. We were greeted by Randy when we first pulled in and shown to the back of the property, where they had the Airstream and barn. This place is tucked back and out of sight from the house, you have full privacy if/when you want it. The drive back you pass the pool, hot tub, bocce court, horse shoes court, and of course the vineyard (with all the beautiful rose bushes). The Airstream has this amazing brick patio with fireplace out front, lots of seating, and lounges to enjoy of glass of wine with your sunset views. The trailer itself is roomy and the bed was very comfortable. When we got back from dinner we had to turn the heater and blankets on, but the place heats up quickly. We slept like babies with all the fresh air. Highly recommend for a couple or even larger group using the barn. Will definitely be back, best place to stay in either valley, hands down.
we had such a great time staying here!! beautiful outdoor and indoor area. hosts were so very generous with their knowledge of the area and went way above and beyond our expectations with trailer accommodations. we wished we could have stayed longer and hope to come back!
I cannot say night nice things about the Airstream and about our hosts. The trailer is as cute and comfortable as the pictures indicate. Diedra has gone out of her way to add all the touches of home--great books, Bluetooth speaker, wifi, coffee and drinks--but you get the feeling of solitude and quiet that you're seeking on a weekend in Sonoma. The bed is extremely comfortable and the heated blanket will keep you plenty warm on those cold Sonoma nights. They're located super close to downtown, even walkable if you're feeling up for it. Diedra was totally responsive and communicative the whole time and had there been anything wrong (there wasn't) I think it would have been resolved immediately. The outdoor shower gets great water pressure with hot, hot water and is a real treat. Plus they have robes for you to wear back and forth. All in all, a wonderful, unique place to stay and I will almost certainly be back.
Absolutely perfect. The hosts could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Everything was beautiful in the airstream and the patio, and I loved the outdoor shower. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the supply of towels, bathrobes, and slippers. They thought of everything, including phone chargers and wifi.
WOW. This is by far the best place we have stayed. Where to start?
The hosts are very kind people and are genuinely interested in their guests' stay. They are open-hearted and inviting while simultaneously giving you all the privacy you may want.
Their trailer is a work of art, and exceedingly comfortable. The interior and exterior details put other retro-chic campers to shame. This is the kind of trailer 1950's movie stars would have! They have a little fridge with goodies and a Polaroid camera to take a pic or two to add to the collection, such a great idea! The outdoor shower was amazing at night under the starry sky. Their hot tub and pool, amazing. The fire pit, awesome. Their little vineyard, with its wildflowers and rose bushes was so gorgeous, and Randy is very proud of his landscaping. Honestly we didn't want to sleep and miss out on any time there! The bed was solid and we slept like two happy little rocks in the cool Sonoma Valley air.
They have an eclectic and meticulous design style that is delightful. If you value unique experiences, this one will be memorable I assure you. You do not sacrifice comfort for style, and you will have stories for the jealous folks back home. If we lived nearby, we would come stay here once a month, it is that good.
The neighborhood is a small town vibe with a nice proximity to Napa and Sonoma points of interest. We didn't explore the neighborhood much as we were so excited about the trailer! We went a 1/4 mile down the road for baguette and cheese, came back and enjoyed the night together by the fire.
They even have a variety of lettuce growing out front that we had as a breakfast salad...seriously, unbeatable experience. We spent the last half of our time there planning to bring everyone we love there to enjoy this special little place.
They have MiFi (little portable verizon wifi) which makes this rustic trip as high tech as you want. Everything about this place is eco-conscious, and that was a real plus for us.
I cannot say enough about the way this place recharged our batteries and made all the hard work we do pay off in such a beautiful experience. We simply cannot wait to go back, and hopefully Diedra and Randy will adopt us and let us move in for good :)
The one bad thing is that after staying here, all the other places could not compare, in our book this is truly the gold standard of Airbnb. I expect to see this place win awards, and will be the first to nominate these hosts and the amazing place they have created! Thanks to Diedra and Randy, they are as good as it gets. 5 1/2 stars
Diedra and her daughter, up visiting The Evergreen State College, left the cottage in good order. I could hardly tell they had even been there. I hope Diedra will stay at the cottage again on future visits to see her daughter.
