This place was in a perfect location! Check in and check out went very smoothly and the apartment was very clean. I would recommend!
The apartment itself was exactly as pictured, and seemed even bigger. It was a great space for 4 people (one couple and two singles). As promised, a coffee and other kitchen supplies were available, along with a great bottle of Greek wine and Dionysia's tasty homemade jam. Providing tea lights was a nice touch. Plenty of storage space in the closets. WiFi signal was fantastic.
We enjoyed being able to see the Acropolis from the balcony. Having the supermarket across the street (closed Sundays) was key for us. Just around the corner, we found a fantastic wine shop that sold quality cask wine for only 3 euros/liter, several bakeries, tavernas, and an amazing seafood restaurant, Skoumbri, where we had one of our best meals in Greece. It was also a short walk away from the Acropolis, easy to get to subway stops, and a block away from our friend's hotel.
We only had two minor issues -- the 2 locks on the door were sometimes tricky to use and were a bit loud to turn (however, we now realize these are standard key locks in Athens). Also, when using the narrow spiral staircase to reach the apartment, one of the hallway floor lights was out, making the climb a bit dark and scary if you didn't use a flashlight at night. Alternatively, you can use the small, but charming elevator.
Dionysia and Dimitris were wonderful at communicating every step of the way, including offering to pre-arrange taxis for our early morning checkout. They were immediately responsive and were very warm and friendly.
Dionysia was very welcoming she had left home jam, fresh strawberries and fruit for us. We had four adults and the apartment was a great size for all of us to use. It is very well situated to restaurants and easy to catch to hop on, hop off bus. Would recommend to friends and family.
We highly recommend Dionysia's place to stay while in Athens. The apartment is big, roomy with everything you might need including an elevator (important for those with big bags). Perhaps more important is its great location. It is only a few blocks from the metro and the Acropolis, in fact you can see the Acropolis from the balcony which is very cool at night when it is lighted. We arrived late in the day and Dionysia met us and made us welcome with information on the unit and area plus she was always ready to help. You will be happy if you stay at this place.
Dionysia provided amazing hospitality. She arranged for her wonderful taxi driver friend Giorgio to meet us at the airport (our flight arrived after midnight and was delayed) and bring us to the apartment. When our friends joined us several days later, he met them, brought them to the car rental, guided them to the apt, found a parking space for them. Dionysia herself came over the first morning to answer all our questions and provide maps and suggestions about places to eat. The kitchen was thoughtfully and generously provisioned for that first morning after our late arrival with fruit and coffee, Melba toast and Dionysia's own homemade strawberry jam. The view of the Parthenon from the deck, the short walk up Parthenonos to the Acropolis, the easy walking access to the Plaka and Syntagma Square--we went everywhere on foot and loved the location. I felt Dionysia went way beyond the call of duty in her hospitality (particularly when our request for Giorgio's help for our friends came at the last minute and she pulled it off like a magician pulling a rabbit out of her hat). Definitely 5 stars. Comfortable apartment and great location. Even a washing machine!
We arrived Athens and found the apartment easily enter taking notice of the precise description given by Dionysia. She waited for us in the apartment. Everything was perfect and in order. She had bought fruit, bread and what we needed. She thought about that were tired, it was Sunday (everything closed) and that we needed to rest a before knowing the city. We really appreciated all the details taken care of. The apartment is perfectly situated near all the important cites in Athens. Dionysia is very helpful and ready to assist her guests in whatever might happen. We really do recommend Dionysia and the apartment.
Dionysia was a wonderful host, always very prompt in replying to messages and obviously very conscious of providing for her guests needs. The little extra touches made us feel welcome. The apartment is accurately described and is very well kept, immaculately clean, well located and very comfortable for a family of 3. Hopefully we can come back again sometime.
I can absolutely recommend this apartment. Very close to the Acropolis, a supermarket right across the street, a quiet neighborhood, but also many good restaurants and bars in close range.
The apartment was clean and had everything you need for your stay.
Dionysia was very attentive and helpful. She welcomend us with home-made strawberry jam and cookies - very nice!
Dionysia and Dimitri were extremely helpful right from the time I booked the apartment. They gave very clear instructions on how to reach the apartment from the airport and replied very promptly to queries. Dionysia welcomed us warmly and also baked a cake! The listing description was very accurate and the place very clean and spotless. The apartment is a 5-7 minute walk to the Acropolis complex. There is a supermarket bang opposite the apartment and lots of eating joints nearby.
Great experience. Good location - walking distance to all major sites. Apartment was clean and we were met by a friendly Dioysia.
