My cousin and I stayed for a week here and enjoyed every minute of it. The listing is exactly as described and if you want that local experience then this is it! It is located very close to all the restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and beach. We didn't get to meet Lara during our stay but Martín was a great host. We took surf lessons with him everyday and he gave us a tour of Cabo. The property is huge and the family restaurant, Jo's Garden, makes amazing pizza and sushi. Francisco (the head chef) is amazing and I learned so much from him! Martín's family also lives on site and they were very welcoming. We felt like part of the family and we miss them dearly! Chingón!!!
First time trying AirBnB, after this experience definitely not the last. The hostel is located perfectly for whatever you might want to do in Cabo, close enough but not to close. Lara and Martin were great hosts and besides arranging for us to go surfing, they showed us some things around Cabo that would have been hard to find on our on hand. If I visit Cabo again I would definitely stay here.
The studio was as listed. It was easy to find and I was traveling alone and get there without problem. Lara and her family were nice and helpful. The studio was clean and quaint and had an authentic, rustic Mexico feeling. It is a short walk to the beach and very close to downtown. If you want to avoid the touristy area and resort atmosphere this is a good escape.
Lara had a nice place in a nice neighborhood. It was exactly what we were looking for - close to downtown and a fairly quick walk to the beach. Lara was a fine host - she was there for questions if we needed her, otherwise, she let us do our own thing which was our preference. We had a great time.
Lara was extremely sweet and such a gracious and accommodating hostess. She waited for us even though our flight was delayed, and she let us check out a little late the next day so that we could check right in to our next spot. The studio is absolutely ADORABLE. It was so quaint and unique and romantic. We were staying in a more impersonal resort for the rest of our stay, so I wanted our time for the first night to be more authentic. This place delivered. You really felt like you were in a Mexican adobe hut. The roof is thatched and the walls are all exposed brick. There is everything you need in the little studio. The shower is rustic and a little low flow, so if you are washing your hair this may be a bit of an issue, but we had no problems. The setting was very intimate and we were one with nature (there are super cute roosters, doves, geckos, crickets, etc. on the property, so cool!), yet even though the property is so charmingly rustic, you are just a short walk to downtown Cabo and all of the restaurants, bars, and action. It is also right behind the most adorable open air restaurant that serves a delicious economical breakfast in the morning. You can't go wrong with this place. Even my cute conservative boyfriend who normally has very vanilla/Ritz Carlton tastes just adored the studio. It is exactly what we were looking for!
Lara and family were amazing! She made me feel like I was at home visiting with a friend. The accommodations were everything you could need and the house is so close to everything. There is also a restaurant at the house and they have great pizza, sushi, and breakfast. I would highly recommend this place and hope to go back
Lara and Martin were very accommodating and helpful. I was traveling alone so it was a good experience staying at this hostel. Lara invited me to a pool at a nearby resort to spend an afternoon with some of her friends. She also invited me to a night out on my last night there and I had a blast with she and her friends.
The location is perfect; it's just a few blocks from party central in downtown Cabo and the marina. And playa de amor (lovers beach) is a brisk (but not too far) walk away.
I would definitely recommend this place, and it would probably be the only place I'd stay if I ever return.
Wonderful place to camp/stay in San Lucas. Authentic experiences, colorful and generous hosts, robust location made my 4 day visit truly great. High regard for the quality of this accommodation!!
Lara and her family were lovely. They were flexible when we arrived later than planned and gave some great recommendations on things to do. She even drove us to the airport at 5 am on our departure today for less than it would have cost us to take a taxi. The studio is basic, but provides all the necessities and is a 5-10 minute walk to all the downtown craziness. Enjoyed our experience!
Peacefull. Jos garden : great wood oven pizza. Like staying with family
