I am retired, American/ British, well traveled and have lived in the Middle East for a long period in the more quiet times. I am a registered nurse, taught English as a Second Language and also taught art, music and physical education and was an educational counsellor in earlier years. I am now a master life coach. All these professions can tell you I enjoy much in life and that definitely includes people, friends and family. I would greatly miss the warmth of sunshine, the ocean breezes and the green verdant forests alongside ancient (or old), and modern cities with all the culture of the arts. I find it difficult to be somewhere and not learn about the life and customs of the places and peoples I visit. And certainly I wouldn't miss the museums and to see a show or listen to their music. I've been told I could be set down anywhere on earth and could get along with the people.
I enjoy so much of life it is difficult to choose my favorites but here goes (some I'll leave to a bit later) I really enjoyed Malasia and Thailand for their beautiful sights and people, for so many reasons as their foods, sea food, soups and salads are all appreciated. Truly I'll eat almost anything as long as it's not spicy, peppery hot!
Lately I've spent much, much time on coaching studies and books and need to delve into the life and times of now. I'll get back to you on these favorites but I can say I have eclectic interests in science, music and the arts. I seem to dabble in writing and painting and enjoy singing.
I've traveled in most all manners of transport, even a camel. I haven't sailed to any destination and I believe I'd enjoy it also. Naturally, I seem to take air flights the most. As a guest I participate and enjoy getting to know others and can go along with or plan most anything on a moments notice. There are many mottos I like , and enjoy. For now, "The present is a gift, a present, to live happily, wisely and well."
I speak English as my mother tongue andI speak Arabic fluently. I've studied other languages but they never caught on! I'd love to live in a Spanish or French speaking country to learn their language.
