I am an easy going girl from Barcelona. I love to travel and meet new people! :)
It would be a pleasure to accommodate you!!!
See you in Barcelona! ;)
Sonia was the absolute most perfect person to stay in Barcelona with for my trip! Her location is central to all my needs (close to bus lines, metro lines, sagrada familia is 3 blocks away) and basic needs were all within walking distance (supermarket, bread shops, bakery, etc.). Sonia was beyond helpful and hospitable- for example upon 1st getting there she drew me a helpful map, gave me a map to use during my stay, showed me where I can buy metro tickets (even let me use one of her old metro tickets), told me the popular streets in case I get lost or confused, practiced Spanish with me, and overall she helped me in a way that made me feel comfortable and more like she is a friend or family!
My stay was close to perfect and I am both happy and blessed to have stayed with Sonia- I really feel that who you stay with makes such a huge impact on a trip and overall experience, and its one of the absolute most important things.
Sonia is wonderful; her spot is perfect, highly recommended!
Whenever I go back to Spain, I will definitely see her :-)
First time in Barcelona, was very nice and easy to get around (didn't take the metro once)! The apartment was in perfect walk distance from everything and right in the centre! Sonia was very friendly and gave some nice tips! Perhaps more suited to student travellers on a budget as opposed to family but overall a very nice trip!!
The experience was very good overall. The apartment is perfect for a couple,it might be unpractical for three or four people. The neighbourhood is not great but we had no issue. Very good communication with Sonia. We would definitely recommend it.
The Apartment was well equiped, looked like on the pfotos and is realy close the the rambla. Around the Apartment are a lot of little shops where you can buy food, fresh fruits, vegetables and stuff. The apartment is big enough for two people, the doublebed for me and my friend, was to small. So she slept on the couch, which was a little used, and I slept in the second room in the doublebed. The neighboorhood is loud till 3 am, so bring earplugs if you have a light sleep like me. Other people who lifed in Sonias apartment wrote in their ratings about a smell in the flat. We found the reason for this smell - it´s mold! It was´nt a big problem for me an my friend (though she sneezed a lot in the apartment) but for allergic people it could be a risc. Overall the flat was still nice
Sonia is very helpful, friendly, well organised and just a wonderful host. The apartment is comfortable, very clean and has a central location. I truly enjoyed my stay with and would recommend the apartment to everyone.
Sonia's place is comfortable and cozy, it was equipped with everything from a corkscrew to a coffee maker! There is space for 3 people but works well for 2. Perfect for us as we were there for sonar! Sonia was also very accommodating
Muy buena ubicacion. El departamento esta muy equpado y la recepcion por parte de alicia fue muy buena. Gracias!
Though we never met her, Sonia was most helpful and always available. We were happy with the location, though a bit out of the center of most of the tourist attractions we enjoyed that we were able to walk around and it was quiet at night and during siesta. The apartment is on the cutest little street and lots of space (we were two) there was a small problem with the smell of the place and it got worse as the days went on.
Overall we were very happy and truly appreciate Sonia and her warm hospitality. She informed us of festivals and events going on around the city - definitely went above and beyond.
p.s. we were so in love with the sagrada familia and its literally a few minute walk away - we went by each day just to catch a glimpse.
So some of the fittings may be a little dated, the point is that this apartment is very spacious (for 2), has a great location close to transport into the city and is amongst supermarkets and great little eateries. The neighborhood is very safe at all hours and is also a short walk from La Sagrada Familia, a must see when in Barcelona.
Another highlight was the day-bed. It almost convinced me not to leave the apartment each day! Sonia, too, was fantastic and very responsive to any queries that we had.
A fantastic eatery a walkable distance from the apartment is El Rincon Del Vino (opposite Hotel Hesperia Carlit) - english menu, lots of locals and cheap prices. Like a local pub and we thought the food was better than the much lauded Jai-Ca in Barceloneta.
Some things to note, though included the fact that the walls were quite thin and you could hear noise from the neighbors and the street. Also, the washing machine can be a bit tricky to work out at first - it might be worthwhile to get a lesson from Sonia to save time :) No aircon might make things uncomfortable in the height of summer, but the apartment has cross ventilation which does help. Overall, quite a nice stay in Barcelona
