we came to get married in larnaca and decided to stay the weekend at George village house which seemed to be the perfect place for us. it was.
we arrived four persons in what seems to be the coldest day in the year :) 20 minute north to limasol the place was easy to find thanks to clear diraction given by George. the house is in good condition and realy welcoming, we had great time just exploring the surrounding and cooked all our meals at the house.
nice place to have a bottle of wine we found in lania village, the wine was local from the village (should be a winery somewere in lania)
anyway, as i said the house is great, exactly as discribed by George. George as well is a good host and explaind us everything we needed to know very patiencely and kindely.
Response from George:
Thank you Rotem!!!
George was a fantastic host. Wonderful recommendations of visits and dining out. Loved his villa. Enjoyed looking after his two hens and enjoying free range eggs for breakfast. Great base for visiting the real Cyprus. Thanks George.
Response from George:
Thank you Gordon!
Stay was very comfortable in this real family house in very quite mountain location. George speaks fluent English, he gave us very detailed introduction into the region, guided us on what places we should visit and provided all needed information on facilities. He was always available on the phone and was ready to resolve whatsoever issue we had immediately. He's kind of person you'd like to have your neighbour.
We enjoyed fresh fruits from the garden and fresh eggs from George's hen for breakfast for our daughter. House is spacious and we felt at home.
Location is in the center of famous wine region and there are a lot of wineries around, red dry wine is quite good. Several restaurants available in the village or next to main road. Supermarket is available in 5 minutes drive. House is equipped with all needed applience, very good towels, sheets and blankets..
This place is beautiful for a long family stay, for people who like calm vacation and mediterranean village cuisine and those who like hiking or biking in mountains. A car is needed for visiting Limassol (15 minutes drive).
My girlfriend and me spent 1 month in Georges house and it was a great time.
You choose this place when you look for a place to calm down. No action. Just great walks, good wine, fresh food and countryside atmosphere . A place to find some real rest.
To watch the stars on the terrace in the night is already a cool experience. Or just to enjoy the freshness of the mountains in the nights.
George is a really great host. He always took care of us, gave us great insider tips for restaurants and places to go. Places you would probably not find as a normal tourist. He was always reachable and very helpful.
The only thing we missed sometimes was some shadow around the house cause it can be quite hot in the summer.
But in general a great place.
Very lovely holiday in a very chilled out and real part of Cyprus. If you want to wander around sleepy villages, eat to excess in local tavernas, and COMPLETELY relax, then this is a place to consider. You couldn't get a more helpful host than George- a genuinely friendly and caring guy. We were in Cyprus during the banking crisis, and he kept us up to date with all the developments via text message. He also greeted us at the house even though, with a late arrival, we didn't get there until after 10 at night. His suggestions of where to eat and what to drink- as well as places we might want to visit were top of the line. We saw a Cyprus we had no idea existed... Also, staying here gets you within walking distance of THE. BEST. SOUVLAKI. EVER!
This hotel was a little way out from the busy Naama Bay rooms were basic but had everything we needed for a short 2 night stay. Staff were friendly and the place was clean by Egyptian standards.
it was all excellent, thank you george
Hotel is very clean ,nice also safe. they asked me everyday for new towel. room are basic but staff are very very good they always help me and gave me good advice. i hope i am gonna meet them again it was really good time :)
I had a wonderful stay at the Cleopatra. Staff was very helpful and accomodating. Mr George had arranged airport transfer and from arrival to departure everything was well organized.
The hotel was quiet when I visited, but i can imagine that in high season the pool & bar area are a great place to relax and hang out. Location was perfect for me, shops & restaurants nearby. If you'd like to go into the busy Na'ma Bay area it is only a 7-10 min taxi ride away!
My booking included breakfast, but in all honesty i never had the time to join breakfast; so no opinion on food or service in that department.
Cleopatra is not a luxury hotel, but you are not charged a luxury price. It is clean, in a good location and the staff makes up for the lack of complimentary bath soaps or chocolates on the pillow ;)
I had a very enjoyable 2 week stay!
thank you Mr George & Mss Sheila and all the others at Cleopatra!
George was very helpful and gave me all the right advice prior to my departure to ensure my stay is hassle free. He organised the transfers and even accommodated a non-standard request I had due to having to leave the room early for diving. Overall, I am happy with my stay at Tsokkos, as it perfectly suited my needs for this trip.
I have known George for 21 years now and I can easily say that he is a very generous, kind hearted and easygoing person. I am very lucky to have him as a friend !!!
I have known George personally for over ten years, and have always known him to be an organized, responsible, and easy going individual. I believe that his skills and experience with people make him an excellent person to rent from. He is a clean living person with a beautiful home and takes pride in everything he does.
The place is amazing and George is friendly and outgoing. The area is beautiful and quiet and u r very close to an 800 year old oak tree...
