I am a 61 year old woman who graduated from culinary school in 2011 after retiring from a 25 year career at the San Francisco Chronicle.
Beverley's apt is exactly as it looks in the photograph and it was good to have somewhere to sit outside in this gloriously hot autumn. We spent relatively little time there though as most of our days were spent with our family here. Especially welcome was the abundant supply of clean towels.
We only met Beverly a couple of times as she was away on a trip to Africa but on those occasions she was very friendly and helpful.
Thank you. Beverly,
Margaret and Lon Spencer
Beverley was a wonderful host, she herself had only just arrived back from an overseas trip and was jet lagged but that didn't stop her from providing us with a lovely breakfast and helping us out with information about the area and where to catch trams etc also organising us a taxi when needed.
I had read that Beverley had the most comfortable bed ! Well that is so true..... after a day out and about in San Francisco it was lovely to come back to our accommodation knowing we would have a wonderful sleep on a luxurious bed.
We spent 5 days at Beverly's place and LOVED it. The house is a old well preserved historical building, the flat is big (huge !) and had everything we needed : fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, 2.5 bathrooms, nice living room, old wooden floors, garage, washer+dryer. Not to forget the decoration is very nice and makes the atmosphere The street is very typical of San Francisco style, it is 2 blocks from Alamo square, and 1 block from Haight streets with so many restaurants. Shops and supermarket nearby. We felt really blessed to have the opportunity to stay there for a few days - really like if we were living in SFO.
Unfortunately we did not had the chance to meet Beverly as she was traveling, but she had organized everything in advance - flat was clean, beds were ready, information and advises listed and available for us.
A wonderful stay in a wonderful place, indeed ! Thanks Beverly.
I would like to thank Beverly for sharing her home with us. It was everything that I expected it to be and more. We loved the location and use of the garage. My son (he's a chef) just fell in love with her gourmet kitchen appliances and cookware. We just felt very comfortable in the house.
Perfect place to stay. Wonderful location. Bev was very welcoming. We would love to come back some day...
We had a wonderful time in San Francisco at Beverly's AirBnB. Very clean and comfortable room (with HBO and Showtime). The breakfast was yummy! We loved the conversations with our host and her recommendations for San Francisco were very helpful. Thanks.
We had an enjoyable stay at this in-law. The location can't be beat, close to shops and bars and grocery stores but still residential feel. Also very convenient to several bus lines, and a walk to Market is pleasant (and downhill!). The vintage Fillmore and other concert posters were a nice addition, and the kitchen had everything we needed, and having access to the washer/dryer was great as well. That said, the upstairs neighbor (especially their dog) was a bit too loud for our tastes (especially at 6am on a Saturday morning), and the washer several times had others' laundry left in it hours at a time which was awkward to deal with.
We loved staying at Beverly's airbnb. She's a superb host and our room and deck were gorgeous, extremely quiet and comfortable. The location is notable - stay here and you'll feel you're in the heart of it all - a short walk to great restaurants, bars, cafes, cinemas and clubs. I can't recommend it enough!
We had the best stay possible. Beverly is the penultimate host, always there with suggestions and guidelines as to how to best enjoy the city. Her home is a short walk to various public transportation lines and we were able to go all over the city utilizing that transportation.
The accommodations were lovely and had truly the best bed (other than our own) which we have slept in...EVER!! And the shower was fabulous as well. Every morning started with a wonderful, light, organic breakfast...including freshly baked bread.
But, what really made the stay wonderful was Beverly. She is simply a wonderful, fascinating individual. Every day we intended to be out by around 9:30, but ended up just chatting the morning away with Beverly. I don't know if we cramped her style, but she definitely never cramped ours.
I can't recommend this place enough.
The apartment is very well located and we had a great time there. Very easy access to public transports and within a walking distance to some points of interests. Beverly's place is cosy and our deepest regret is the cold weather that did not enable us to profit by the charming patio. The check-in was very easy.
