The bathroom hadn't been cleaned. There were clumps of hair in the shower and unflushed paper in the toilet bowl when I arrived. It seemed like very little consideration had been given that a guest was arriving.
This is a great location and Jessica was a great host! We were in Austin for about 10 days. The first few nights we were in a hotel off of the highway that was uninspiring and required driving to get anywhere interesting. Once we got the lay of the land, we knew we wanted to find a place south of the river close to the park and walking trails, but that would still be walking distance to all of the hip urban stuff. We spotted Jessica's place on the map and contacted here. She was super helpful and responsive. I had a bike with me and she even loaned me a couple of tools to disassemble it for the trip back home at the end of our stay. The accommodations were perfect for us, with a private entrance and bath, lots of privacy, but very friendly locals available one door down for any questions! Highly recommended.
We had an awesome experience staying here. Jessica was easy to coordinate with and was very responsive to my inquiries/needs. I would definitely stay here again.
Jessica and her roommates (and friends) were awesome; welcoming, friendly and interesting. The room was great and the location perfect.
The room is really clean, big and nice! It is also good that we had a private bathroom and private entrance. Too bad that Jessica was away and we only met her briefly before we left but she always responded to my message on any questions I had quickly. Her housemate is super nice. We hung out, drank some beers with her housemate and his friends by bonfire in the front yard - they are all from Texas and had great stories to tell :)
The place is not so far from the city. There is No. 30 bus which will take you to downtown quickly but it comes round twice in an hour and finish at 10.30. This means you need to take taxi home and it will cost around 12$ which should be ok if you are with many people. Another option is walking to downtown and it will take 20 mins. It is actually good to stay in the south too as it's not far from barton spring and SOCO - which I love it!
The only comment I would have is that the wall to the living room is thin and you would hear everything from there.
Great to meet Jessica...they were off adventuring most of the time...didn't get to hang out! Come back!!
