Food, wine, and hiking are my hobbies. After a nice hike in the local State Parks, I love to go to one of the many great restaurants on the square for a nice lunch and glass of Chardonnay.

We loved staying at the Casablanca Sonoma! The home is very well-kept. Appliances are new and the beds are super comfy. Carrie was clear in her communication and confirmed my request to book almost immediately. It is located a quiet neighborhood and backyards are close - it's a perfect house for a low-key weekend (we were warned ahead of time that neighbors are vigilant about noise). A note in case other guests are hoping to be able to walk to Sonoma Plaza - the home is right on the line of the town of Boyes Hot Springs (next town north of Sonoma with its own unique vibe) and will require a car or bike - the drive into town is busy/lacking sidewalks in places. We took an uber into dinner and it worked well but something to consider, if walking is important to you.
The house was clean, functional and lived up to expectations. A lot of thoughtful touches meant nothing was lacking. I particularly enjoyed breakfast on the front porch in the morning sun. I would consider returning to 'Casablanca' again in future.
The home was lovely! Very comfortable and updated; great weekend in Sonoma
We had such an amazing time at Carrie's cottage. Its has a very beautiful, brand new interior - futnished with her fine antiqe furniture. The kitchen and bathroom is modern, with a country charm - fully equiped.
The garden is spacious and private, with room for the car to be parked inside.
Carrie was a very attentive and responsive host through each part of the planning and 'rent' periods. She thought of every detail to ensure our confort in the house. Thank you for being such a great host, and for opening your house to us.
Carrie's home is the perfect place to stay for your getaway in wine country. Very comfortable and cozy, my girlfriend and I felt right at home the minute we got there. It was too far from downtown Sonoma to walk which I would have liked, but just a quick drive or cab ride. Can imagine this would be perfect for a group of four if you would like to stay in and cook. A great yard with a table to enjoy the perfect weather along with a great porch. Great placed would come back again.
Beautiful home, clean and well kept, easy to find and easy parking, convenient to the fairmont spa where we got massages and to the main square where Carrie's restaurant recommendations were spot on. I would definitely stay here again!
Casablanca Sonoma is a great place to stay. I stayed at Carrie's house with a couple of friends and we all found the house extrememly comfortable and inviting. Everything inside and outside of the home is well cared for. Carrie was prompt to respond to questions ultimately helping make a getaway weekend fantastic. I definitely will be visiting Casablanca Sonoma again
Lovely, classic, quiet. Very solid structure and high quality choices in finishes, textures, neutral colors. Tiny spaces but not at all cramped due to expert arrangement and size-appropriate decor. Would recommend ant return in a heartbeat!
Really nice updated home and tastfully decorated, clean and comfortable...the pictures tell the story. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and we spent several evenings at the dining table (drinking more wine) and relaxing after busy days sightseeing. We liked the Sonoma shopping district mucho better than Napa, but the vinyards were all great. The front porch was a really pleasant retreat for coffee in the mornings. A local produce market and pastry shop at the end of the street is a 5-minute walk. Four of us enjoyed the comforts of Carrie's home for four days and look forward to another stay on our next trip. We are 57-77 years old and all active and healthy walkers. There are 6-8 front and back steps that could pose a challenge, but all rooms in the house are on the same level. We found the Sonoma Market a great place to shop for wine, cheese, bread and groceries. They carry a lot of the local wines and have a great selection of cheese, plus roast chickens to go and a well stocked salad bar with hot entrees.
We had a wonderful experience, the host was very responsive. Getting in and out of the house was fast and easy. The house itself is beautiful and clean. The perfect place to rest after a day of wine tasting!
