Widely travelled, I've crashed friend's couches in over 20 countries.
I've been living in Paris for six years and loving it!
I am now renting out my studio and sharing what made me fall in love with the place!
Maria shares the love.
I've stayed at David & Maria's place for seven nights. The location of this apartment couldn't be better. It was near three metro stations and the local market (which was also a famous tourist spot). There was practically everything I needed (from groceries to restaurants). I met Maria on the check-in day and she was very helpful and reliable. The apartment was perfect for one to two, cozy and clean. I found the room was a little bit dark, however, it was not much of problem.
We spent two nights at this amazing studio. The room is very cozy and has everything we needed. The location of this studio is very convenient. We love the market, coffee shops and restaurants outside of this place. It is also very close to the metro and other tourist attraction places. We enjoy very much staying at this place.
What a fantastic location. We had a great stay at this quaint little Parisian appartment. Everything is within walking distance. The flat is next to many cafes, bakeries and fresh food shops that open on to the street. Lovely area! We arrived and the cleaner was just finishing up, we had an instruction sheet left from the owners, recommending places to eat and instructions about the flat. Problems: some power sockets did not work, Oven did not work and no instructions were left for heating. We had a fabulous time exploring the city. I would return to this area again and most definitely stay here again. We never met the owners, but they were great a communicating and sending instructions of how to get to the flat and I'm sure would be very helpful if there were any problems. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you David & Maria
Very nice and cosy appartment in the middle of Paris. We loved the streets around the appartment and had some Very nice meals in the surrounding.
Perfect little apartment on super location.
Check in and communication with David and Maria was very easy.
Apartment itself basic but all was there.
Great location, flat had everything we needed. Enjoyed the list of recommended places to go in the neighbourhood. Some bits of the flat slightly scruffy, but felt this was reflected in the price. Easy walk to the Seine, but also found Les Halles metro station a good hub too. Would definitely recommend to friends.
David and Maria were exceptional hosts and could not have been more helpful in helping us to get us set up in the apartment.
Despite being quite small, it had everything that we needed for our two day stay and we were very comfortable.
It is really well situated and my daughter and I were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to see. There were a lot of great little restaurants very close by and at night there was definitely a buzz in the air. Handy when you are tired after a long day of sightseeing.
All in all a very enjoyable experience. Thank you David and Maria
The place was in a really great and safe neighborhood. I was out late several nights and never had a problem. Its near several metros that can get you anywhere in the city. Decent value for the location.
The apartment is a bit dated but the lights worked and the hot water worked in the shower so I was happy.
I communicated with Maria and they graciously accommodated my wish to drop my bags off before the check-in time so I didn't have to drag them around the city.
I would definitely rent the place again the next time I'm in Paris.
The only bad thing about my whole experience was when someone was doing some kind of construction in the building at 8am after I went out for a night of drinking.
The location of this apartment is good- close to the metro, 20min walk to the louvre and 1hour walk to the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately our time here was marred by a few issues. When we arrived we had to leave our bags and walk around for an hour because the apartment wasn't cleaned yet (well after check in time). On returning we were greeted by a maintenance man and the cleaner who informed us that some fuses had blown and if the fridge/ hot plates were turned on the power would cut out. Not great news when you arrive with a bag of groceries to cook dinner. The cleaner was lovely and I cannot stress enough that she tried to rectify the problem by bringing us back a pizza and cookies and a bottle of wine and assured us that she would return the next day with the maintenance man to attempt to solve the issue. That being said the issue was not resolved and we did not have what we paid for - a "fully equipped" kitchen. The photos make the apartment appear much brighter and roomier and cleaner than it actually is. With the age of the apartment and the potential issues involved with amenities not working properly I would not recommend staying here.
A great, clean studio that's perfect as a home base in Paris. The central location and proximity to the shops on Rue Montorgueil were amazing for food, drink, and getting acquainted with the various speciality shops in Paris.
Experienced hosts, Mary and David know very well what a guest needs. So how can I thank the honor of being chosen to host these experienced travelers?
Thank you for choosing!
I'm scheduling my next trip to Paris and certainly will stay in your place!
Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to receive them personally, who received them was Judith. Shown to be very respectful and interested. We recommend Maria to receive in your house.
David is a very good friend since years, I have been living with him for 2 years, he is very organized, easy to live with, friendly, open-minded, always happy to help and to meet people. He is someone you can trust in, as a guest or as a host.
His flat in Montorgueil in the center of Paris is a great place to stay at, do not hesitate!
