This was our first experience using airbnb and Jennifer did not disappoint! My husband needed a private getaway to focus on some work he needed to finish by a deadline and the Arbel guesthouse proved perfect. Quiet, secluded, serene and full of inspiration. Original artwork on the walls, fresh fruit on the hills below and a beautiful landscape in all directions. Could not have asked for a better experience from the host or the location. Hope to return here soon for some R&R. This place is a real treat.
We loved our stay at this wonderful place. We had a very peaceful and restful stay. The views are amazing and breath taking. Our daughter loved playing with the two cats. Everything we needed was taken care of. The guest house is very cozy, bright and comfortable. The place is decorated with colorful hand painted art making it feel more like home. We enjoyed the walk down to see the fruit trees. The overall experience is beyond our expectation and we would recommend this place to anyone. We returned back refreshed to get back into the busyness of life. We will surely come back again to enjoy this wonderful place. Thank you Jennifer.
Jennifer was great through the entire process. We decided to do a quick getaway weekend for wine tasting and thought we should try AirBnB for the first time since all the hotels were booked in the area. She quickly confirmed our reservation for the next night and was friendly with a quick to reply if I had any questions. She sent us great directions to the guesthouse but our Google Maps app also got us there without any problem. The guesthouse is quaint and the setting is beautiful. Jennifer had all the bathroom essentials; shampoo, condition, shower gel, shave gel, hair spray, hair mousse, disposable razor, shower cap, hair dryer, curler and straighter, as well as a toothbrush that came in handy since my fiance forgot his. The full size bed was smaller than we're used to since we have a King at home but it was very comfortable and even liked the pillows (which is rare when staying in hotels). It was chilly during our stay and the space heater kept us warm in the bedroom. The dual shower heads were nice and the stocked fridge with fruit, bagels and water was great! The best blood oranges I've ever had! There is wifi but my iphone 5s had trouble staying connecting but my fiances iPhone 6 had no problem. There isn't a cell signal but Jennifer added us to her cell booster and we were back in business! The long windy drive was intimidating coming through at night but since we made the drive four times during our stay, we got the hang of it. It's about 30 minutes into Temecula. Overall we had a great stay and couldn't beat the price!
Jennifer's Guesthouse exceeded all our expectations! We were looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life and couldn't have asked for a better three days. There is such serenity and peacefulness in this hidden gem. We met Jennifer at her restaurant "Oink & Moo" where we devoured the most amazing sweet potato fries and brussell sprouts and followed Jennifer to the Guesthouse. She was extremely helpful in providing us with tips on how to spend our days in the area and answered all of our questions. The Guesthouse was well stocked with everything we could have thought of- no need to bring towels, toiletries, etc- it's all there. There are no words to describe the incredible views you wake up to- you have to experience it!
Our only feedback is that if you are looking to go into any of the towns (Temecula, Oceanside, San Diego) expect it to take about 25 minutes to leave the surrounding area).
We would definitely return to the Country Lakeview Guesthouse in a heartbeat!
Jennifer and Jonathan were very friendly and helpful. The property was gorgeous just like the pictures. It was just what we were looking for. Quiet and relaxing, beautiful view, lots of sunlight, and that perfect San Diego weather. Definitely follow Jennifer's directions and not your gps!
My husband and I spent two nights here, and it was awesome. The pictures do not do justice to the beautiful views, the serenity and tranquility. The guest house was cozy, had everything we needed, and was beautifully decorated. Everything worked well and we had no problems throughout our stay. We enjoyed walking the property and exploring all the terraced levels of fruit trees and flowering bushes, and I especially enjoyed the additional hospitality of the friendly felines who would come and say hello! We will definitely be back when we need a retreat from the busy-ness of daily life, and will plan to spend more time star-gazing on the roof next time.
What a wonderful place! It wasn't the easiest to get to, but it was worth it! We loved being greeted by one of the friendly cats, entering a clean, bright and comfortable space complete with fresh eggs, fruit and (gluten free!!) bagels! Jennifer took the time to listen to my needs and provide recommendations that were very helpful. We enjoyed dinner at her restaurant our first night in town and had a wonderful (and delicious!) experience there as well. We wished we had more time to enjoy this great place, and would definitely stay there if we come back to the area!
Jennifer was a great host and very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. Her directions to the place were great and the view was fantastic. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a weekend getaway!
What a nice, secluded place. Amazing views, charming little cottage, comfortable and just as described. Eggs fresh from the chicken coop and oranges picked off the tree was a nice bonus! Easy check in, met up at their barbecue restaurant first & enjoyed a good meal. To get to the cottage it's a pleasant drive on little winding roads through quite beautiful country. Hope to return someday!
Staying at Jennifer's place was a fantastic experience! A truly amazing location with a view that's unbeatable, perfect for an out the of the box getaway near Temecula. Great for a couple looking to relax and take in some fresh air away from a busy metro area. We also were fortunate enough to eat at Jen's awesome restaurant, Oink and Moo--don't miss out on this great BBQ spot, it's a blast.
