Great apartment in perfect location! The apartment is more beautiful than depicted in the photographs, the pictures being unable to reflect the large spaces, the height and beauty of the ceilings and the balcony overlooking the charming street. Right outside the door are many restaurants, galato shops and expresso bars. Perfecto!
Patrizia was very welcoming and the unit was exactly as advertised. Location is perfect -- within short walking distance of Piazza Navona, and very convenient to many other attractions. Unit was clean and beds were comfortable. Only issue was that noise from outdoor café immediately outside the unit made it difficult to sleep early in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. First bedroom was very quiet.
O local eh super seguro e fica a aproximadamente 100 metros do Consulado Brasileiro. Gostamos muito ! Nada a reclamar !
We received a very good welcome from the guest, waiting for us at our arrival. The apartment correspond to the photos, which mean the apartment is really gorgeous. The location is perfect to visit Rome.
One thing to know though: full-time NOISE :-(
one room is really quiet (no direct access to the street), but the living room and the 2 other bedrooms have direct access to the street. It's a pedestrian street, with noise up to around 2a.m. Closing the windows doesn't help much: you feel like trying to sleep inside a noisy bar, hearing all dialogues, laughs and all.
The location of this apartment couldn't be more perfect, steps away from Piazza Navona and lots of great restaurants! The layout was great for 4 adults, and had everything we needed. One thing I will note is the main bedroom is a bit noisy at night with the restaurants so nearby, but the second bedroom was very quiet. The location really made our stay wonderful, it was so easy being so close to many sites & restaurants!
We enjoyed our stay in Rome, thanks in part to the great location of this apartment. We walked to most of the sights (St. Peter's Basilica, the Coliseum, Spanish Steps, etc. There was a supermarket very close by, which made it easy to pick up croissants each morning and eat at home. I would recommend this flat to anyone. Patrizia was a wonderful host, and we checked in and out with ease.
Mention Via del Governo Vecchio where the appartment is to any of the locals and they will respond with the appreciative nod. The old narrow street is full of restaurants, bars and quaint shops. The Carfour supermarket is just down the road as is the Frigidarium ice cream parlour. And most importantly, Piazza Navona is genuinely around the corner and the whole of Rome is at your feet.
The ground floor appartment was spacious enough for two adults and two kids. The kitchen and dining room are downstairs and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Double windows of the main bedroom keep out most of the noise from the restaurants below. We did not have any problems sleeping from midnight to 8 or 9 in the morning. The mattresses are quite hard but that's how I like them.
Patrizia organised airport transfers both ways (€55 each way and highly recommended) and was waiting to greet us at the appartment. She was prompt to respond to any messages we sent her and was generally a good host.
WiFi doesn't always work in the master bedroom but is fine elsewhere. As it is a ground floor appartment in an old building, telephone reception is not great inside.
All in all, we loved our Roman home and would definitely highly recommend it!
We had a wonderful 4 nights in Rome and found so much to enjoy.
Patrizia was at the door of the apartment building to meet us upon our very late arrival around 12:30 a.m.! The apartment was very spacious, recently renovated and very clean. It was in the perfect location for my first visit to Rome. The master bedroom was very quiet although the other bedrooms face the street and noise from nearby restaurants/bars went on quite late.
