Upon departure we washed our dishes, washed and folded all the towels we used. even washed the beer bottles we drank and left them in a bag on a counter.
Yes there was minimal amount of sand as would be expected to happen in a beach house and I had actually texted Chris asking for a broom yet there wasn't one available. there was also sand on the beds ( very minimal bc with curly hair we still had some sand in our hair a week later)
we always made sure to wash any lotion off to not stain the beds. We took our trash out daily and sorted it through the recycling.
I have always been very mindful of the space we occupy as I am a guest and host and always put myself in others shoes.
I was extremely saddened by receiving an email upon arrival that Chris wanted to keep THE SECURITY DEPOSIT IN FULL. bc he claimed we left the house in such a terrible state and it cost them $ 450 to clean a small beach house with minimal furniture.
Airbnb investigated and refused his claim. I was so shocked by his accusations that I asked airbnb if they can share the so called evidence to see if I was somehow off and they send me this : "What I can say is that his claims went unsubstantiated and you should rest confident on the type of guest you have proven to be."
