location is very good, you can go by walk to almost every tourist area. She is very nice and hospitality. But no wifi in the appartment is a small problem.
Appartement agréable avec les commodités nécessaires.
Idéalement placé, proche de tout!
Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et soucieux de la propreté!
The reservation was canceled 43 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
As grandparents in a growing family that has called Noisy-le-Sec their home since 2002, all of our visits to France have been family centered. As their apartment living space has become more and more filled by growing children, and our needs as seniors have also grown, we had searched for housing alternatives for our visits. What we had not realized was that the nearly perfect solution existed only a short stroll away from the family apartment home in Patrice and Katia’s home.
We were excited to find our way to airbnb (and eventually to Pat & Kat) through friends here in California who use airbnb to provide housing for tourists to Northern California wine country. We were eager to meet our new good friends-to-be because their airbnb description was so appealing and compelling. But what we found exceeded many of our expectations. They even have two backyard chickens! And their great kids, Clement and Marie, were just a year different in age from two of our grandchildren that were the central reason for our trip. The neighborhood is calm and quiet. Pat and Kat are genuinely warm and generous. The home is very clean and well maintained, and it overflows with hospitality. This was the big unknown. How much hospitality could we stand?
We’re pretty much solitary people at home. We don’t socialize very much in groups of more than 6-8 people. And music doesn’t define us as much as it does for Pat and Kat. We had wondered in advance if there would be a lot of loud practice or jam sessions going on through the night. There weren’t. But the nighttime social life of Pat and Kat, to which we were always welcome, did include recorded music (much of it from their band) past midnight most nights that we were there. The funny thing was that the anticipation of such a scene was more intrusive than the reality of it. The context of the warmth and generosity of Pat and Kat’s hospitality for their friends included us and responsibly limited it’s impact on us. And Pat and Kat’s friends were very nice to meet.
A fairly accurate image that works for us in remembering our visit is just how much they added to our visit, which now ranks at or near the top of our visits to Noisy-le-Sec. They provided a balancing third leg to a previously two-legged stool, with us on one foot, and the Noisy-le-Sec branch of the family on another foot. It was a very good visit indeed. We’d do it again in a minute!
Katia and Patrice's apartment - high ceilinged, old worldly, spacious, light filled - was a charming home away from home for us Aussies during our week in Avignon. In the large lounge/dining/bedroom we enjoyed home made meals from fresh produce bought from Les Halles markets down the road and listening to CDs we'd bought at the great shop downstairs on the CD /radio (a pleasant bonus). The big wooden sideboard was filled with crockery, cutlery, glassware. The sofa bed was large and comfortable. The shutter windows overlooking a typical pedestrian street of the old city, meant we could regulate light and privacy. The kitchen was small but adequate for our needs, the bathroom compact and clean. There was also a spare room, a bit dark, with 2 single beds where we kept our luggage. Katia travelled from Paris to greet us, very welcoming and friendly though we arrived late at night. She had many suggestions for places to visit, in town and out. The two flights of stairs up a narrow spiral staircase might be challenging for some, but added to the charm for us. It was great being in the centre of the old town, close to the Palais des Papes, Pont D'Avignon and other historical sites. The apartment was a good base too for day trips to Villeneuve, Pont du Gard, l'Orange and the Camargue.
Great people and great place!

Patrice and Katia were wonderful hosts and made us feel like part of the family. That was the first time we used Airbnb and we loved it so much that we now use it all the time. They are amazing people and helped us have a lot of fun while visiting Paris. I recommend them to anyone who is looking to spending time in the area where they live.
